PLAYMOBIL and Müller Drogerie exclusively present the sustainable toddler line PLAYMOBIL Junior 🍃 From July 1, 2024, PLAYMOBIL and the Müller retail chain will exclusively launch the new, sustainable products of the PLAYMOBIL Junior toddler line. We are simultaneously switching to plant-based materials – PLAYMOBIL 1.2.3 is now PLAYMOBIL JUNIOR. The diverse play sets are now made of plastics at least 90% of which can be traced back to plant origins. The sets promote child development through play. Children can let their boundless imaginations run wild with numerous functions such as stacking, puzzling and sorting. After the exclusive Launch with Müller Drogerie, the new PLAYMOBIL JUNIOR sets will be available from August 2024 wherever toys are sold.

🚀 Let’s take off to space! On Sunday, 2nd June, the ESA Space Days took place at the PLAYMOBIL FunPark. In co-operation with the European Space Agency - ESA, we had planned plenty of fun activities for kids all about space. The highlight was the visit of European Space Agency - ESA astronaut Matthias Maurer, who brought the PLAYMOBIL figure ‘ROBert’ back to Zirndorf after its journey into space. The little robot, known from the PLAYMOBIL YouTube series ‘ROBert knows', visited Maurer on the International Space Station ISS at the end of 2022. Now the astronaut is accompanying his adventurous friend from weightlessness back to his Franconian hometown. After the handover at the HOB Centre, Matthias Maurer answered selected questions about his work and everyday life on the space station. Special thanks go to Peter Ohegyi and Anna-Lena Ridolfo, who have supported and supervised the project from the very beginning. Thanks for your energy and and passion for this important mission! ✨

First Playmobil toy made from sugar cane 🌱 Together with McDonald's we are taking a joint step in the use of sustainable play material. From May, Playmobil animal figures made from at least 95 percent sugar cane-based plastic will be included in the Happy Meal® for the first time. The restaurant chain had been looking for bio-based material for over two years in order to ensure the high quality and durability requirements during production. "Playmobil stands for a sustainable play experience. We are pursuing various approaches to continuously increase the proportion of non-primarily fossil-based plastics in the entire range. We are increasingly using plant-based materials," explains Playmobil CEO, Bahri Kurter. The company's long-term goal is to make all business models circular in order to establish a material cycle that is as closed as possible.

Writing letters to your loved ones never gets old! For all pen pals and collectors: 💌📯 Today the special stamp "Spielfiguren" ("Play Figures") was presented under the strong and important motto "Play, fun and diversity!" 🌈 at the Museum für Kommunikation Frankfurt. The event took place in the atrium of the museum with a really beautiful and open atmosphere. The project "Playmobil Stamp" was only possible thanks to the power and energy of the entire "stamp team". Thanks to our GBA colleagues (Markus Pfitzner, Dina Cherry, Sarah Weckwerth and Stefanie Roth), to the Deutsche Post und DHL team, Ramzi Chakroun and Jan-Niklas Kröger (stamp designer) and our press team Björn Seeger and Tina Eschner. The collaboration was fun and inspiring! And of course a big thank you to Bahri Kurter and Dr. Alexander Plum for the special speeches and to Helmut Dr. Gold and Dr. Corinna Engel as well as the Museum für Kommunikation Frankfurt for allowing us to use the great premises of the museum for this special event.
