The Countdown is on! The opening of Europe´s largest store for consumer electronics is exactly one month away. The conversion is currently in full swing.   Designed in a completely new and unique concept, the former core store format will open as a Lighthouse in Hamburg, a flagship store for experiencing technology. As never before our innovative store formats Xperion and Lighthouse will be united under one roof. We are sure Hamburg will be a highlight.   This is just the beginning: Until fiscal year 2025/2026 there will be around twenty more Lighthouse stores in Europe. Three years ago today, I took on the role of CEO at CECONOMY and MediaMarktSaturn. I had a clear vision for the future. Many people around me were doubtful that this could be done. But when people say, "It can't be done," I get excited because you have to believe in the potential you see. #MediaMarkt and #Saturn are iconic European brands that I have known since my youth. These esteemed brands needed a fresh business model to reclaim their leading position. The first year was tough. We faced significant crises: store closures due to COVID, supply chain disruptions, the war in Ukraine, and rising inflation. Yet, we couldn't afford to lose focus on the necessary changes within the company. In the second year, we rolled out our new strategy, fueled by a strong belief that we could successfully build our future. Employee and customer satisfaction saw significant improvements.  In our third year, we've been building momentum at an accelerated pace. We have consistently met our financial promises over the past six quarters, with earnings increasing each quarter. Our revenue is growing, and we are gaining market share. With 50,000 people dedicated to building a bright future, we aim to make this proud company the leading omnichannel player in Europe. We are revitalising our stores, expanding online, enhancing logistics, and rapidly moving into new business areas: Services and Solutions, Marketplace, Retail Media. Both employee and customer satisfaction continue to rise. ‘Werkstolz’ is back. We are gaining momentum. I give my thanks to the entire MediaMarktSaturn team, my great ExCo team, the Supervisory Board, our works council, and our partners for their strong support. I also extend my gratitude to our customers for their loyalty and trust. And anyone who has seen me in person at our stores, in business meetings, or at the head offices knows that I've been wearing the MediaMarkt #Swirl on my jacket lapel for some time now. Enhancing the retail experience for customers in Italy:MediaWorld and Bennet S.p.A. are extending their strategic partnership. 🚀🚀🚀  After the successful pilot project that led to the opening of our first "Xpress shop-in-shop" at Bennet Montano Lucino (Como), the initial five locations have been identified for this year, based on a joint assessment of store characteristics and their current and potential customer base.   These shops will be launched in strategic locations in the provinces of Torino, Vercelli, Monza Brianza, and Milano. 🤝  The Xpress format offers a wide range of high-demand products and top-notch services, including online purchase and 30-minute in-store pickup.   #MediaWorld #Customer #Retail #TeamMediaMarktSaturn

Ready, set, let’s go! Yesterday, around 370 of our headquarter‘s employees changed their business attire for running gear and participated in the Ingolstadt company run. This has been an annual event for us for the past years – and #TeamMediaMarktSaturn was strong on the tracks: We not only participated with the second largest team but also won the category "Azubi-SuperStar" as well as the second place in "Mixed Team".   And we even took part in the run the #BetterWay and held a stance for sustainability: The shirts of our MediaMarktSaturn runners were made from ten percent cleaned and reused marine waste and 90 percent recycled bottles.   #runtastic #welldone #event 

Keep on growing in Turkey💪: We are already close to 100 stores in that country and we are proud to share with you some impressions of our latest opening: MediaMarkt Turkey just opened a new store in the city of Trabzon with our new Look&Feel concept for upgrading stores in the Core format. From special Experience Zones that focus on trend themes such as electromobility or gaming and invite customers to try out the various products, to a reinterpretation of the color code and a new, more sustainable modular furniture system - the focus is always on the #customer #experience. That's why the right partnership should not be missing! From next season, we will be the proud main partner of Feyenoord Rotterdam, one of the country's most successful soccer clubs. This partnership goes beyond pure branding; it's about creating a better connection with the local community. And we will also use the partnership to strengthen our MyMediaMarkt offerings for our loyal customers. Now the official jersey was presented. The MediaMarkt logo appears in black on the chest of the jersey.
