We are delighted to be a part of such interesting early stage researcher collaboration projects! It is wonderful to see our spatial biology MACSima™ Platform helping to improve efficacy of CAR T cell therapy in the gut microbiota. Great teamwork Laura Marcos Kovandzic and Valeria Durante! We can't wait to see what you do next! #SpatialBiology #MACSima #EarlyStageResearchers #teamwork
During her secondment at Miltenyi Biotec headquarters in Bergisch Gladbach, ESR 11 Laura Marcos Kovandzic cooperated with ESR 13 Valeria Durante to perform experiments using the MACSima™ system. Miltenyi Biotec’s MICS (MACSima™ Imaging Cyclic Staining) technology enables the simultaneous analysis of hundreds of markers on a single sample. Based on fluorescence microscopy, it uses the principle of cyclic staining with different fluorochrome-conjugated antibodies to acquire microscopy data for a multitude of parameters without harming the sample. The cyclic process includes three main steps, all conducted automatically by the MACSima™ System. As part of her PhD project, which focuses on studying the impact of gut microbiota on the efficacy of CAR-T cell therapy, Laura and Valeria collaborated through all phases of the experiment. This included antibody panel design, experiment preparation and execution, and analysis of the results using MACS® iQ View iQ View Spatial Biology software. Their aim was to determine the level of CAR-T cell infiltration and proliferation, and to further assess the phenotype of the various infiltrating cells in different treatment groups of samples from in vivo experiments performed in mice. #cancer #research #eu #mariecurie #network

Great to see the happy faces! We are glad that you had an insightful demo with our UltraMicroscope Blaze™ 🙂 Thank you for sharing your experience!
In early May, Novoheart had the opportunity to demo Miltenyi Biotec's UltraMicroscope Blaze – the light sheet microscope’s lightspeed mode allowed us to image multiple markers on entire engineered cardiac tissues in minutes. What an incredible tool for efficiently understanding both live and fixed tissue composition and structure. Thank you to Simon Merz, PhD and Rachel Roccanova, Ph.D., and the rest of the Miltenyi team who came onsite and made this such a valuable experience!

Automate. Increase your efficiency. Change the world! The potential of CAR T cell therapies is increasing in relevance globally. These cells are designed to detect and attack tumor cells and are primarily used to treat blood cancers and some solid tumors. Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute is dedicated to understanding the origin, etiology, and pathology of childhood leukemia, as well as myeloid leukemia in adults. They are working to develop new therapeutic targets to cure these diseases. To achieve this, they need highly purified hematopoietic progenitor cells, and the great autoMACS® Pro has been helping them in the lab since 2013! Its ease of use and excellent results are crucial for this important project. Thank you Virginia Carolina Rodríguez Cortez, Pablo Menendez Bujan, Angela Meseguer, and the entire team, for advancing our understanding of these critical diseases and helping to change the world! #excellentcellseparation #leukaemia #CARTcell #MiltenyiBiotec #science
