Today, we published our half-year results for 2024. The first half of 2024 has been a testament to Mister Spex's resilience and strategic direction. We are particularly proud of the 4% like-for-like growth in the German market during Q2, clearly demonstrating that our strategic initiatives are bearing fruit and our customers continue to trust in us. With the launch of our restructuring and transformation program, “SpexFocus,” we have laid the foundation for sustainable, profitable growth. Our goal: to further enhance our competitiveness both online and offline while continuing to deliver the best service and highest quality to our customers. He has also held leadership positions at POSSEHL Mittelstandsbeteiligungen GmbH, where he was responsible for the realignment and restructuring of portfolio companies. Welcome, new talents! 🎉 We are proud to welcome 41 new apprentices as we kick off the 2024 apprenticeship year! 38 of these ambitious individuals are starting their journey in the field of optometry, while three are embarking on careers in the commercial sector (dialogue marketing, office management, e-commerce). Our high-quality apprenticeship enhances their skills and strengthens our position as a leading optician expert. 👓✨ Our five locations in Berlin, Cologne, Münster, Reutlingen, and Mannheim provide the perfect environment for practical and future-oriented apprenticeship. As we approach the end of July, we bid a heartfelt farewell to our founder and CEO, Dirk Graber, who has decided to step down after 16 incredible years at the helm of Mister Spex. His journey from establishing the company in 2007 to taking it public has been nothing short of extraordinary.  Dirk's leadership and commitment have been instrumental in guiding Mister Spex through many challenges and successes. His deep appreciation for the team is visible everywhere, and we want to emphasize that this appreciation is mutual. The exceptional achievements of Mister Spex are a testament to Dirk's vision and the unwavering dedication of our talented team members. As Dirk transitions to the next chapter of his life, which means mostly spending more time with his family, we reflect on the profound impact he has had on Mister Spex. His journey may be taking a new path, but his legacy will continue to inspire us.
