Today, NIO opened its 50th European Power Swap Station in Bryn – a neighborhood on the eastern outskirts of Oslo, Norway – marking a major milestone in the ongoing expansion of its European battery swapping network and charging services. A third-generation Power Swap Station, it can perform up to 408 swaps per day and store up to 21 batteries to support NIO users. The first Power Swap Station in Europe was opened in 2022, also in Norway. Since then, the expansion of the swapping network has gained momentum, with five new Power Swap Stations becoming operational in the past month. NIO now has a total of 2,447 Power Swap Stations across six markets – China, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden – that have performed more than 48 million battery swaps.
