It was a pleasure to welcome Helmut Martin-Jung from Süddeutsche Zeitung to our new headquarters in Garching. What was once a hardware store is now the birthplace of quantum computers ‘Made in Germany’! 🇩🇪 His article captures our mission: bridging the gap between groundbreaking research at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics and real-world applications. With €50 million in new funding and government-supported projects, we're building quantum systems for the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), and developing our own machines right here in Garching. As the article highlights, the road ahead has challenges. Initiatives like Munich Quantum Valley have been vital for planqc and the quantum ecosystem. Extending these programs is key to keeping Bavaria and Germany at the forefront of the quantum industry. 🌍 A big thank you to Helmut Martin-Jung for spotlighting our work at planqc! 🙌 Read the article here: https://lnkd.in/dRyWPF4D APEX Ventures, Amadeus Capital Partners, i5invest, Achleitner Ventures, UnternehmerTUM, TUM Venture Labs, Munich Quantum Valley, Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics, DLR Quantum Computing Initiative, German Aerospace Center (DLR), World Economic Forum, Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, Startup-Verband, Creative Destruction Lab, Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Wirtschaft, Landesentwicklung und Energie, Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts
