Buckle up for more electric road trips by PowerCo team members. This time with Andreas, our Head of Communications exploring new destinations and sharing the joy of driving electric. ⚡️ 🚙🌍 Preparation:  “No special preparations were required, all you need is Elli's charging card, which covers whole of Europe.” Experience:  “Electric road trips are super easy and comfortable. My favorite features are great acceleration, lots of space for passengers, remote climate control and the small turning circle – quite helpful especially in narrow streets.” Advice:  “Just get ready to recharge and hit the road! And filter for hotels that offer on-site charging.” One electric mile at a time. Andreas has been traveling electric for years now, on vacation or seamlessly blending everyday routines. Sustainability plays a major role in everything we do. And water is one of the key resources we're focusing on in our efforts to make battery cell production as green and environmentally friendly as possible.   At our gigafactory in Spain, we're currently planning the infrastructure for a water management system to ensure efficient use and recycling of water throughout our processes. 🌧️♻️   In this video, Manuel Peris Chabret, our Senior Construction Manager for the Sagunto plant, provides insights into our sustainable measures and the responsible use of water.   All of our Gigafactories aim to be an example in terms of sustainability, innovation and efficiency.   #PowerCo #Gigafactory #Sustainability #powercospain

Still riding the vacation vibes? Check out another electrifying journey from our colleagues for some fresh inspiration! Our Measurement & Testing in Operation Quality Department Head, Eva , went on a road trip with her family - fully electric. We asked her how it went. ⚡️ 🚙🌍 Preparation: “It was already our third electric road trip. In Germany, the charging infrastructure is excellent; we only check for stations when the range drops below 50 km.” Experience: “Traveling with our 8-year-old, we appreciate the short breaks during charging stops. In Austria and Italy, speed limits help save energy and increase range. The car's great acceleration and dynamic behavior make the drive enjoyable.” Memories: "It has been great to see even more travelers with electric cars in recent years, especially many from Scandinavia at the charging stations." Advice: “Don't hesitate, just go for it. 😊 You'll need to adjust your driving and recharging habits, but the environmental benefits and driving fun are worth it." Eva and her family are loving to hit the road with their electric car. Long trips have never been this smooth and relaxing! #PowerCo #PowerColleagues #eMobility

What a vibrant weekend in Braunschweig. Look at our #PowerColleagues spreading positive power at the #CSD. Under this year's motto: "Dress code diversity - justice in the constitution," they joined thousands at the vibrant parade and surrounding events. Our plant vacations are over, and we hope all colleagues had a great time. Some of them took electric cars on the road. Our Teamlead of Inhouse Logistics Technology, Philipp, shares his insights from an incredible trip through Austria, Italy, and Slovenia. ⚡️ 🚙🌍 Preparation: “I started with app research on public charging, fully charged my ID.7 at home, and arranged hotel EV charging in advance.” Experience: “My expectations were exceeded: I had amazing fast charge stops, combined with coffee and stretching sessions, and experienced an incredible uphill acceleration.” Memories: “I remember the breathtaking drives through the Alps and the interesting conversations with other electric vehicle enthusiasts.” Advice: “Just do it! Use VW’s dynamic route planning, keep speeds under 130 km/h, and bring an adapter cable for slow charging.” Philipp's journey with his VW ID.7 was memorable and much more relaxing than expected.
