ROOF X COMMON GROUND X KICKFAIR 🤝 Football is a powerful tool for bringing people together and creating shared memories. That's why we are delighted to have been part of the most recent Common Goal event, the Common Ground #24 Festival in Munich. Under the headline ‘Play Lead Create: Democracy Happens Here’, 50 young people from six secondary schools came together and organized a street football tournament for more than 140 students from Munich. ⚽️ It was a pleasure to meet fellow supporters such as KICKFAIR e.V., Stiftung Kick ins Leben as well as our partner Common Goal. Together we were able to experience how communication on and off the football pitch creates unity, how decision-making is supported through active negotiation and how diversity can be beneficial, be it cultural, linguistic or through different perspectives. It was also refreshing to see how children and young people live the values of fair play, teamwork and respect. 💯 ROOF would like to thank Common Goal and Kickfair for their hospitality and organization of the event. We learnt, laughed and witnessed first-hand what people can achieve with motivation, empathy and commitment. 💪 #commongoal #kickfair #bettertogether

ROOF Football x Amadou Haidara Foundation 🇲🇱 Together with the Amadou Haidara Foundation and local sponsors, ROOF organized a 3-day event in Kayes, Mali, which included visits with local politicians and authorities to discuss progress in the fight against child poverty 🗣 The event was highlighted by a streetball tournament for children from Kayes and a national football tournament with over 200 boys and girls aged 10-14 ⚽️ where jerseys and backpacks were donated to all participating children.🎒 The initiative is part of the ongoing efforts by the Amadou Haidara Foundation, which has been actively working in Mali for a long time. The main goal of the event was to strengthen the local community and provide valuable and fun experiences for the children in Kayes.🙏

„Das Statussymbol für alle, die kein Statussymbol brauchen.“ 🚙 Ich war noch nie der Typ, der viel Wert auf teure Autos legt. Für mich erfüllt das Auto einen simplen Zweck: mich von A nach B zu bringen. Genau das hat mein Dacia Sandero tagtäglich für mich getan. Natürlich haben sich einige gewundert, denn viele verbinden einen Profi-Fußballer direkt mit einem luxuriösen und teuren Auto. Das soll meinen kleinen Dacia jetzt auf gar keinen Fall schlecht machen. Ganz im Gegenteil: Ich habe vieles mit diesem treuen Begleiter in den vergangenen Jahren erlebt und verbinde einige schöne Momente mit diesem, für mich ganz speziellen Gefährt. Wer mich kennt, weiß, dass ich mir den ein oder anderen Spaß erlaube. Und insofern passte das alles perfekt. Jedoch muss ich mich nun von meinem ziemlich besten Freund auf vier Rädern verabschieden. Er fährt noch einwandfrei, ich habe mich aber entschieden den blauen Flitzer auf eine richtig coole Mission zu schicken. Das Auto hat wie erwähnt einen sehr großen emotionalen Wert für mich. Aus diesem Grund möchte ich es nicht einfach verscherbeln oder gar verschrotten lassen, sondern für einen guten Zweck abgeben. 🙏🏼 Einige wissen es vielleicht: Ich engagiere mich schon lange für eine tolle Stiftung, die Elhadj Diouf Foundation (https://lnkd.in/ecjdniTK). Mein Vater sitzt dort unter anderem im Stiftungsrat, und ich kenne sämtliche, natürlich ehrenamtlich agierende Protagonisten persönlich. Im Fokus der Stiftungsarbeit stehen, wie man es auch in den Stiftungszielen lesen kann, die Schwerpunkte Begegnung und Perspektiven mit dem Ziel, Jugendliche im interkulturellen Austausch zwischen Afrika und Deutschland zur Reflexion realer Lebensumstände, unterschiedlicher Kulturen und Lebensräume anzuregen. Die Aktion läuft von heute 23.04.24 bis zum 20.05.24. IHR habt ab jetzt die Möglichkeit über den Link zu spenden. Unter allen Spendern werde ich im Anschluss jemanden auswählen, der meinen Dacia geschenkt bekommt. Die Spendengelder kommen garantiert, ohne irgendwelche Verwaltungskosten, zu 100 Prozent den Stiftungsprojekten zugute. Aktuell baut die Stiftung einen Bildungskomplex für 250 Kids in Kaolack/Senegal (s. Homepage), um dort wichtige Eckpfeiler wie Bildung und Sport voranzutreiben. Ziel ist, dass die Kinder im Vorschul- und Grundschulalter dort ab Herbst 2024 mit viel Freude ihre Schulzeit beginnen können. 📚 Jetzt hoffe ich, dass ihr alle zahlreich mit am Start seid. ROOF X COMMON GOAL 🌱 We want to take responsibility for the environmental impact associated with the flights ROOF Germany took in 2023 by donating money to a climate resilience initiative in countries where ROOF have a branch: Germany, Spain and the UK.🌍 We acknowledge there is currently no sustainable solution for aviation & that donations to climate resilience initiatives are tools for compensating travel associated to our daily business lives. These are short-term solutions, but it’s a step in the right direction. "As a player consultancy agency, we can't always avoid flights due to the dynamic nature of our business“, says our Managing Director Thorsten Wirth. "But we can take responsibility for our actions. By compensating our flights and investing in sustainable environmental projects, we want to take a first step in the right direction and at the same time raise awareness of sustainability in football business.“🗣️ We have teamed up with Common Goal where our ambition is to become more sustainable in the long term. Fabian Hürzeler x DFB-Akademie-Podcast! 🎙 During the winter break, Fabian Hürzeler was part of the latest episode of the DFB-Podcast "Trainer*innenkompetenzen im Profifußball", hosted by Dr. Anselm Küchle & Dennis Schunke. Amongst other things, Fabian talked about results-oriented actions and that they are part of a process and should not be measured solely by the team's position in the table.
