SMS group giant torque spindles can transmit torques up to 40% higher than conventional slipper-type spindles as a result of development in fields of materials, heat-treatment, geometry and tribology. Despite a high level of standardization, our spindles are tailored made and offer a high degree of variability including selectable features such as different lubrication types. This includes a highly efficient oil-air lubrication system introduced by SMS, which offers a minimal oil consumption of <10 – 20 liters per day per set. We are proud that Exlabesa Industry, a world leader in the extrusion of customized industrial components, has once again chosen our 100% subsidiary Hertwich Engineering to expand its aluminum recycling plant in the Spanish province of A Coruña. The new continuous homogenization plant will allow Exlabesa to increase its recycling capacity by 30,000 tons of aluminum per year.   Focus on #sustainability 🌱 By recycling post-consumer aluminum scrap, Exlabesa is making a significant contribution to reducing CO2 emissions and promoting a cleaner and more efficient industry based on the principles of the circular economy.   Increased #capacity ♻ The new plant will increase Exlabesa's continuous homogenization capacity to approximately 80,000 tons per year. This expansion will make Exlabesa less dependent on primary aluminum sourcing and conserve valuable resources.   Long-term #partnership 🤝 "Our expansion of the continuous homogenizing plant at Exlabesa fits perfectly into the existing production environment.
