Mark your diaries! 📝 🤓 Our Visiting Fellow Prof. Dr. Milica Radisic from the University of Toronto is in town and will give a lecture titled "Engineering Vascularized Organs-on-a-Chip" on Monday lunchtime:
Join us for Milica Radisic's MDC-Lecture next Monday, July 1st, at the #mdcBerlin's Max Delbrück Communications Center (MDC.C) at Campus Berlin-Buch GmbH. You'll also have a chance to meet the speaker before the talk! More information and registration: 👉 https://lnkd.in/dG_K33-y Organ-on-a-chip technologies can serve as models of #HumanBiology. But they have been limited by the inability to grow them with #vasculature. In collaboration with her host, Professor Holger Gerhardt from the Max Delbrück Center, and other partners from the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, bioengineer Radisic will spend the next three years studying whether adding specific immune cells to “organ-on-a-chip” technologies, or OoCs, will encourage tissues to grow a stable vascular system. Radisic is among five winners of the Stiftung Charité Visiting Fellows grants who will be supported with up to €600,000 each. More on her and the quest to grow vascularized organs on a chip: 👉 https://lnkd.in/dharKiTJ
