Today, we have two big announcements: 1️⃣ SuperDuperDB is now Superduper! 2️⃣ We are launching our enterprise solution on top of our open-source project for scalable custom AI on major databases. With the rebranding, we emphasize that Superduper is not a database but a platform for integrating AI models and workflows with major databases, like our partners MongoDB, Snowflake and others: Postgres, MySQL, SQLite, DuckDB, BigQuery, and more - from GenAI and LLMs to classic machine learning. Our new enterprise offering enables AI teams to deploy and scale AI applications they have built with our open-source development framework, on a single platform, across any cloud and on-prem, with compute running where data is to minimize data movement. It also comes with Superduper app and workflow templates, ready-to-install on the database and fully configurable, enabling enterprises to adopt custom AI immediately with near zero development work. Current use-cases range from multi-modal vector search & RAG, document extraction & analysis, anomaly detection, to visual object detection, image search and video search. Superduper is on a mission to transform AI-application development by deprecating the MLOps/ETL-pipeline paradigm, instead enabling developers to simply install the AI-components on their database and data. This is a radical shift allowing developers to focus on selecting optimal AI models and queries for these models to act on, eliminating the need for infrastructure work, MLOps ETL pipeline building, and specialized vector databases. By transforming the database into the central AI platform, Superduper consolidates enterprise AI, instead of being spread across systems and environments, eliminating unnecessary complexity from the AI-data stack. With Superduper, AI teams can implement even the most complex AI applications and workflows, without pipelines and data migration. Ensuring all steps begin and end with the database, enhances data security, and reduces time-to-production.
