⚡ AUDI AG has installed six quick chargers in South Africa: they offer 150kW DC rapid charging at key locations. It's a collaboration with strategic partner Rubicon. 🔌 The six new chargers, each offer two charging points that can supply charge simultaneously. They are positioned at key national locations along three main road arteries – the N1, N2, and N3 highways. 🔋 Check it out: a 150kW ultra-fast charger can top up an average Audi e-tron battery from 5% to 80% in 30 minutes or even less. 💬 “This third wave of investment into the public #charging network highlights once again, our commitment to electric mobility,” says Sascha Sauer, Head of Audi South Africa. “We believe EVs represent the future of our brand, both globally as well as locally, and we’re therefore playing our part in making e-mobility a convenient, straightforward reality for more and more South Africans.” Audi South Africa is once again playing an important role in preparing the region for a future of widescale electric mobility.

💡Our colleagues Škoda Auto are pushing #innovations: they built a massive computer tomography scanner to examine the interior of batteries and #battery assemblies. It’s a true advantage in #quality management, and the first of its type within Volkswagen Group. 🔋 Expanding premium charging: AUDI AG and Porsche AG lead the way! 🔌 Porsche continues to grow its fast-charging network, opening the fourth Porsche #Charging Lounge in #Ingolstadt, Germany. Following locations in Bingen am Rhein, Estenfeld near Würzburg, and Koblach in Austria, this new lounge offers four DC fast-charging stations (400 kW) and four AC points (22 kW) using certified green #electricity. Located at the Porsche dealership, close to Autobahn 9, it features sanitary facilities, a wide selection of soft drinks and snacks, high-performance WiFi, as well as analogue and digital media, available 24/7. 🔌 Audi charging hubs in Berlin, Munich, Nuremberg, Salzburg, Tokyo, and Zurich feature fast-charging points, each with up to 320 kW charging power (150 kW in Tokyo) — even when all are in simultaneous use. 🚌 Si, senhor, our colleagues from Volkswagen Truck & Bus in Brazil are testing a prototype #electric bus: It features a very fast charging battery: this project is the result of material specialists of CBMM and Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions | Latinoamérica working on innovative batteries. They are now integrated in a Volkswagen electric bus. Check the advantages: ✅ greater safety when charging ✅ battery life is three times longer than conventional batteries ✅ ultra-fast charging reaches the vehicle's maximum range in just 10 minutes “This project is strategic for us to start developing the next generations of e-mobility. Seven years ago, we surprised the market with the first electric truck prototype made in Latin America. Now, we are once again anticipating global trends and seeking to lead the transformation of the industry", says Dr. h. c. Antonio Roberto Cortes, President and CEO of Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus.

🌳 All about the sustainability initiatives from our colleagues at Bentley Motors: organic interior option, river protection, innovative driving simulator, just to give you three examples, Earlier we congratulated Bentley's Environmental Foundation on its anniversary. Today, we take a look at some of the other sustainability projects they are working on. ♻ Industry bench mark for fully organic processing of leather: Free of metals, minerals, and aldehyde. The option was introduced in August 2023, with a tanning agent derived from organic by-products of olive oil pressing. ♻ Bentley’s dynamic driving simulator promises a more sustainable future: by introducing the new "compact full spectrum driving simulator", the car manufacturer will save 85 tons of CO2 per vehicle prototype, ♻ Cooperation with The Rivers Trust – one of the fastest growing environmental movements in the world. ❤ Greetings from #Berlin! Last night at the “Volkswagen Group Forum”, we celebrated the icons of pop-culture. A panel talk with German soul-singer Joy Denalane and producer Max Herre discussed the similarities of cars, like the Volkswagen Beetle or the Porsche AG 911, and #music: both carry emotions, memories and touch people. Among the guests: Oliver Blume, CEO of Volkswagen Group. 👀 Nevertheless, modern technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and the metaverse are opening up new, exciting dimensions. These technologies will fundamentally change the way people experience and consume music - from AI-generated videos to infotainment and in-car karaoke to immersive live entertainment spaces. ❗ The current exhibition, „ICONIC - A Timeless Journey of Culture, Society and Mobility” features original examples from the arts, design, architecture and fashing.
