Indian inventor Kaif Ali is pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture from New Delhi-based Jamia Millia Islamia University.

New Delhi: Kaif Ali, an emerging innovator and a student of the Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) won the prestigious Commonwealth Secretary-General Innovation Award for Sustainable Development 2021.

Kaif is the only Indian among 15 awardees from 54 Commonwealth countries to win the prestigious award, the university said in a statement.

Kaif Ali, who is pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture from New Delhi-based Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University, was awarded for designing prefabricated sustainable shelter SpaceEra, which can not only help reduce transmission of the deadly virus but also house refugees worldwide in the future.

Winners of the award receive a trophy, 3,000 pounds (Rs 3,00,000 approx.) in prize money and the opportunity to scale up their innovations in collaboration with partners and mentors across the Commonwealth countries.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kaif, a 20-year-old architecture student, researched how architecture could prevent the spread of disease. He designed a prefabricated sustainable shelter, SpaceEra, that would not only help reduce transmission of the virus but could also house refugees worldwide in the future.

दिल्ली के 21 साल के कैफ अली, जामिया मिलिया इस्लामिया यूनिवर्सिटी से आर्किटेक्चर की पढ़ाई कर रहे हैं। फिलहाल वो फाइनल इयर में हैं। 2020 में कोरोना महामारी के दौरान हॉस्पिटल्स में बेड की कमी, क्वारैंटाइन के लिए आइसोलेशन सेंटर में भीड़ और शहरों से पैदल चलकर अपने घर जाने को मजबूर मजदूरों को देख उन्होंने मॉड्यूलर मेडिकल इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर का डिजाइन बनाया।

नयी दिल्ली, 29 जून (भाषा) लेडी श्रीराम (एलएसआर) कॉलेज की एक छात्रा और जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया के एक छात्र को 2021 के संयुक्त राष्ट्र सतत विकास लक्ष्यों को बढ़ावा देने व युवा परिवर्तनकारियों को सशक्त बनाने के लिए प्रतिष्ठित डायना पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया है।

जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया के एक छात्र को 2021 के संयुक्त राष्ट्र सतत विकास लक्ष्यों को बढ़ावा देने व युवा परिवर्तनकारियों को सशक्त बनाने के लिए प्रतिष्ठित डायना पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया है. जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया में बैचलर ऑफ आर्किटेक्चर (बी.आर्क) में चौथे वर्ष के छात्र कैफ अली को सतत आश्रय का डिजाइन तैयार करने के लिए यह पुरस्कार दिया गया है. विश्वविद्यालय ने एक बयान में बताया कि उनके डिजाइन से कोरोना वायरस के प्रसार को रोकने में मदद मिली.

Kaif Ali is a 20 years old international Award-winning Architecture student.

His project has also won several national and international awards and competitions.

SpaceEra vision is acknowledged by UNHCR, UN Youth Envoy, One young world, and several international organizations.

He is currently working with Organisations of Africa to build the world's 1st and largest medical centre out of shipping containers from the same concept of his project SpaceEra.

I am a 20-year old student from Jamia Millia Islamia pursuing graduation in Architecture. Last year I did a project to design a shelter for Syrian Refugees. I always wanted to contribute towards the welfare of my nation, with this determination in my heart I started working on this project. By May 2020 I completed the design.
It is known as Space Era - A standard SPACE for pandemic ERA and beyond with the potential to help thousands.
It is a 2.5m X 6m container to create quarantine shelters & isolation wards to house patients. These makeshift quarantine centers are made using PUF panels or shipping containers. They can be assembled with ease, have massive room for expansion, are portable, have natural ventilation & 6 layers of social distancing. This minimizes the risk of community spread & provides the psychological comfort of being in one’s own comfort zone, especially in crowded areas like slums.
I myself approached all the State-Governments for consideration & was then appreciated by the Karnataka Govt. I got appreciated by the Hon. HRD Minister of India, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Sir & HRD Ministry. Organizations working with the Maharashtra govt, are willing to execute the project.
My project has won D’ssource CoronaChallenge conducted by IIT, Bombay. It has also been appreciated by several Architects from Germany, Iran, South Africa, Turkey, the US, Nigeria & Brazil. I am currently working with Architects in Nigeria for making the shelter design for Covid-19 patients. I also plan to expand this project more and more.

Literally, no one has asked a 3rd-year student to do something related to Covid19. but it is my call, my initiative , if you have a vision and you are passionate about it, sooner or later you will surely achieve it.

We all have imagined something from our respective field for the benefit of society, we just have to initiate upon it, we all have the potential to inspire. Weniger anzeigen
