Director of Engineering

Company Description

CS Group Germany is looking for a Director of Engineering. Reporting directly to the Operations Director of CS Group Germany, you will strengthen and develop the software development team, providing a strong core to our next stage of development.

Job Description

• Management of operations for the activities in the back-office software team.
• Develop the business around the current pool of expertise and business development opportunities.
• Support CS Group Germany Operations Director and CTO with the strategy of the Back Office
• Deputize CS Group Germany Operations Director
  
  

Qualifications

• At least a 15 years’ experience in project and programme management preferably in the space industry or an equivalent engineering industry in an international environment. Additionally, it would be helpful to have experience in:
• In managing several concurrently running projects.
• Producing Project Management Plans, Configuration Management Plans, Risk Management Plans, Progress Reports, etc. preferably in accordance to ECSS, EUMETSAT and ESA standards.
• Interfacing with the customer, preparing minutes of meeting, reporting on KPIs, delivering data packages, kicking-off projects, organizing milestones (reviews, checkpoints, phase-on, phase-out and contract closure).
• Financial budget/targets
• Pre-sales activities
• Line management of technical teams.
• You have strong interpersonal and leadership skills which allow you to interact, develop strong professional relationships and negotiate with clients and employees at all levels.
• Excellent communication skills; written, oral and presentation in English.
• Documentation skills with high attention to detail in content and formatting (Microsoft office suite: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Project as well as other tools).
