We are searching for an experienced manager with expertise in overseeing environmental and energy management related matters for a fast-paced, 24/7 running site. The ideal candidate will have a passion for introducing new automated technologies to a facility, oversee energy management audits and manage all water treatment related activities. Your core responsibility will be to ensure the effective, safe and compliant running of the plant whilst creating a culture of honest and open communication with your direct reports.

Role responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive environmental and energy management programs for various applications, including cooling towers, boilers, and wastewater treatment systems.
Conduct regular assessments and audits of chemical treatment processes and water systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise chemical usage, minimise environmental impact, and enhance operational efficiency.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders and clients on chemical treatment best practices, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
Lead training programs for staff on chemical handling, safety protocols, and proper usage of water treatment equipment.
Annually support external authorities when it comes to energy management certification and auditing.
Role requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science etc. Or a technical education with many years of relevant work experience.
8+ years' experience working in a similar position within a highly regulated industry.
Familiar with managing all wastewater treatment activities.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team of technical professionals.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Fluent German and Proficient English.
