Responsibilities

Circular economy for EV battery materials will be one key pillar to make e-mobility sustainable? We as Battery Recycling have been passionately building a groundbreaking circular system for batteries and battery raw materials. BASF will invest several billion euros in building a sustainable battery business over the next few years. Join us to create new battery materials from old batteries!

• As Strategic Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for creating projects with third parties to develop these opportunities. This involves driving these projects towards decision making on joint engagements and execution, which will require your expertise in service and purchasing contracts, tolling agreements and other commercial deals.
• In addition, you will implement a road-map for battery recycling businesses, focusing on new business opportunities. This includes conducting business assessments, analyzing options, assessing market penetration probability, and developing implementation scenarios while considering waste regulations and legal requirements.
• You will be responsible for managing market research studies, providing necessary information for expansion, product and market development, forecasting sales and market potential and establishing business objectives and action plans related to these projects.
• In addition, it will be your responsibility to specify the target feed and engage in the unconstrained identification and development of new value chains for recycling products that are not usable or desired in BASF plants.
• Moreover, you will identify and develop unconstrained value chains for products and side-products from production to meet recycling quotas and optimize the utilization and profitability of our production.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• master's degree in economics, engineering science or chemistry
• several years of professional experience in procurement, marketing or sales
• solid knowledge of the chemical industry as well as negotiation expertise
• analytical and problem-solving skills, decision-making ability as well as flexibility to adapt quickly to changes
• strong communication skills in English and German
• self-motivated and outstanding team spirit
