Supply Chain & Procurement Manager

We have partnered with a fast growing Pharma company who are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join their team.

This position will be responsible for the supply of all goods, equipment and services. This includes managing vendor relationships, coordinating vendor acquisition and qualification, purchasing, negotiating and analysing prices, keeping track of expenses, and managing warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Creating, directing, and incorporating best practices in procurement policies and procedures for materials, capital, and direct and indirect services
• In addition to supporting the execution of material planning and inventory management control methods for the Munich site, take the lead in improving and implementing planning processes and procedures.
• Determine, pick, and put into place a warehouse/inventory management system for the Munich location.
• Create and uphold effective procedures for warehouse management.
• Oversee the planning of material requirements for all materials, both GMP and non-GMP. Orders and requirements should be rescheduled once predictions, inventory levels, laboratory schedules, etc. are examined.
• Uses supplier development programmes to find new supply sources, evaluate suppliers, and foster a solid working relationship with them.
• Creates request for proposals (RFPs), evaluates bid proposals, plans bid review sessions with end user groups, and negotiates contract terms and prices within the bounds of authority and budget.
• Purchase and payment terms for supplies, machinery, and services are negotiated, and supply agreements are (re-)negotiated with vendors to improve business circumstances.
• Verifies requests, procures quotes, evaluates and documents vendor performance fixes issues with vendor pricing, quality, and deliveries
• Proactively works with other business divisions to ensure appropriate stock levels, prompt delivery (backorder/expediting), and compliance with material procurement regulations.
• Collaborates with many user groups to coordinate internal initiatives in order to reduce costs and increase quality.
• Controls the work of the laboratory management team, which is in charge of the budget for laboratory operations (materials procurement).

About You:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years' of supply chain/planning/procurement experience
• Experience in material planning
• GMP experience
• Fluency in both German and English
• Comfortable in a fast paced environment
• Previous experience managing small teams
