This week, we were the happy hosts of the great BREKO Summer School Spezial 2024. This time, the program focused on law and regulations in the telecommunications sector. 22 employees from companies organized in the German Broadband Association BREKO Bundesverband Breitbandkommunikation e.V. came to Mannheim to learn about and discuss topics like building networks, consumer protection and door-to-door sales, cybersecurity and data protection, open access, copper and fiber optic migration, and the Gigabit Infrastructure Act. Of course, the participants also used the course breaks and dinners for networking. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this great learning experience. Our Mannheim Master in Management Analytics & AI Class of 2025 enjoyed a field trip to Munich this week. The trip started with a rooftop tour of the Olympic Stadium and dinner at a traditional Bavarian restaurant. The second day comprised two exciting company visits: In the morning, the group visited German process mining software company Celonis, and in the afternoon, they were hosted by our alumna Sneha Boobna at the Microsoft office, where they learned about AI and other hot topics at the software giant. Yesterday and today it was the turn of the Multi-Competence Teams of our Mannheim Full-Time MBA Class of 2024 to present their Business Master Projects to their academic supervisors, corporate sponsors and our program management.   Topics included a go-to-market strategy for a biotech startup and a sports brand, the transformation of a medical startup, a business strategy for the integration of an IoT startup in the construction industry, venture building in the area of industrial digital twins, a business case for vertical farming, a strategy implementation in finance in the aerospace industry, a case for driving sustainability through procurement software, a study on data-driven insights for partner ecosystem management in the software industry, and a thesis on generating new service products by implementing customer feedback.   The presentations marked the end of the program. Congratulations to the Multi-Competence Teams of our Mannheim Part-Time MBA Class of 2024, who mastered the final presentations of their Business Master Projects in front of their academic supervisors, company sponsors and our program management.   The topics included for example new market assessments in the pharma, automotive, and e-mobility industries, a go-to-market strategy in the hospitality industry, a feasibility study for the launch of a startup hub in Saxony and an exploration of growth opportunities through the expansion to Africa, an analysis on the impact of geopolitical tensions on enterprise IT, a practical application of the novel carbon accounting approach and a study on how to reduce erosion on offshore wind turbines.   The presentations marked the conclusion of the program.
