Founded in 1987 as a family company, Ehrhardt + Partner is now an internationally active group of companies with more than 450 em-

gebaute und durch eine relationale Datenbank gestützte Standardlösung ist für den professionellen Einsatz
im Warehouse konzipiert. LFS verschafft Kunden eine hundertprozentige Transparenz des aktuellen Gesche-
hens in manuellen und ­automatisierten Lagereinheiten: Vom Wareneingang über alle Zwischenstufen bis hin
zur Bereitstellung für die Fertigung oder für den Versand steuert LFS mittels dialoggestützter Anwendungen
den gesamten Material- und Informationsfluss innerhalb der Logistikzentren.

Ehrhardt + Partner developed the warehouse management system LFS on the basis of their comprehensive knowledge of warehouses
and practical experience in warehouse management gathered over twenty years. The modular standard solution, which is supported by
a relational database, is designed and structured for simple and more demanding requirements, and for professional use in a warehouse.
The LFS gives the customer one-hundred percent transparency in monitoring occurrences in manual and automated storage units: from
goods-in to disposition for manufacture or shipping. LFS directs the entire material and information flow within the logistics centres using
dialogue-supported applications.

Mit LFS hat Ehrhardt + Partner ein System geschaffen, das seiner Zeit immer deutlich voraus
war und ist. Die Entwicklungen rund um das Softwaresystem LFS haben der Warehouse-Logistik
wichtige Impulse für die Gestaltung und Implementierung moderner Logistikprozesse gegeben.
Doch was kenn­zeichnet das System? Als Lagerführungssystem schafft es im direkten Verbund mit
Produktionsplanungs- und Steuerungssystemen, Warenwirtschafts- und Kundenauftrags- oder auch
Internet-Shop-Systemen die bestmöglichen Bedingungen für die Lagerhaltung und Kommissionierung.
Das System optimiert automatisch alle Lagerressourcen wie bspw. den Personaleinsatz und nutzt die
eingesetzte Lagertechnik auf perfekte Art und Weise. Aus diesem Grund spricht Ehrhardt + Partner
bei seiner Lösung auch nicht von einer – eher passiven – Lagerverwaltung, sondern von einer aktiven
Lagerführung.

With LFS, Ehrhardt + Partner has created a system that was and still is clearly ahead of its time. Development around the software
system LFS has instigated important ideas for the design and implementation of modern logistics processes. But what characterises
the system? As a warehouse management system, it creates the best conditions possible for storage and picking in direct connection
with product planning and control systems, merchandise management systems and customer order and internet shop systems.
The system automatically optimises all warehouse resources, such as the deployment of staff, and it uses the applied storage
technology perfectly. For this reason, when talking about their solution, Ehrhardt + Partner does not talk of passive warehouse
administration, but of active warehouse management.

Ein Lagerführungssystem für alle Plattformen

A warehouse management system for all platforms
Mit LFS bietet E+P ein extrem leistungsfähiges und flexibles Lagerführungssystem auf der Plattform
IBM iSeries, ehemals AS/400. Für Interessenten, die die Vorteile dieser Plattform bislang nicht nutzen,
aber dennoch Wert auf ein leistungsfähiges und modular konzipiertes Lagerführungssystem legen,
bietet Ehrhardt + Partner seit zwei Jahren LFS auch für die Plattform Linux und seit 2007 auch für
Windows an. LFS kann somit nahtlos in vorhandene Netzwerkarchitekturen integriert werden.

With the LFS system, E+P offers an extremely efficient, flexible warehouse management system on an IBM iSeries platform,
formerly AS/400. For the last two years, Ehrhardt + Partner has also been offering the LFS system for Linux platforms and
recently also for Windows, aiming at interested parties who have taken advantage of this platform thus far, but who still
appreciate a powerful and modularly designed warehouse management system. LFS can thus be seamlessly integrated into
existing network architecture.

The inter-industry warehouse management system LFS distinguishes itself through high functionality, safeguarding for the future,
practical orientation and simple, intuitive operability. Thanks to a high degree of parameterisation, the system can be easily adapted
to customer requirements and can be integrated into existing IT landscapes. Communication interfaces with all current WWS and
ERP systems, protocols and platforms are likewise a matter of course for LFS, as are services for use in SOA environments.

abgestimmte Gesamtlösung aus Soft- und Hardware: Der Pick-Manager ist eine Standard-Softwarelösung
für die einfache und unkomplizierte Anbindung von Pick-by-Voice an eine bestehende IT-Struktur bei Kunden,
die bereits eine Lagerlösung von Wettbewerbern besitzen, aber die Kommissionierung sprachgesteuert
optimieren möchten. Zusammen mit den Lydia Voice Solutions des deutschen Anbieters topsystem bietet
die Unternehmensgruppe eine optimale Pick-by-Voice-Gesamtlösung speziell für die Kommissionierung.

For problem-free use of Pick-by-Voice applications in the warehouse, the E+P Group offers
a perfectly balanced total solution comprising software and hardware. The Pick Manager
is a standard software solution for connecting Pick-by-Voice simply and easily to
any customer’s existing IT structure, where that customer already has a warehouse
solution from competitors but wants to optimise voice-controlled picking. Together
with the Lydia® Voice Solutions from German supplier topsystem the Group offers
an optimal total solution especially for picking with Pick-by-Voice.

Das TSC – Technical Solution Center bietet einen umfassenden Support- und Service für Hardware im
eigenen RepairCenter. Als zertifizierter Repair Partner erfüllt die Ehrhardt + Partner-Gruppe höchste
Qualitätsanforderungen und Standards in den Bereichen Development, Integration und Support von Datenfunk
bzw. Voice -Lösungen. Je nach individuellen Service- und Supportanforderungen gehören neben der Wartung
und zeitnahen Reparaturen auch ein umfassender Ersatzservice inklusive Zubehör zu den Leistungen des
Centers. Über 90 Prozent der eingehenden Reparaturaufträge verlassen innerhalb von 24 Stunden das
Repair-Center und sind oft am kommenden Tag schon wieder zurück für den Einsatz beim Kunden.

The TSC – the Technical Solution Center – offers comprehensive support and service for hardware in our own RepairCenter. As a
certificed repair partner, the Ehrhardt + Partner Group fulfils the highest quality reqiurements and standards in the domains of
development, integration and support for radio frequency and Voice solutions. Depending on the customers’ individual service and
support requirements, the Center’s range of services includes maintenance, quick repair and a comprehensive replacement service.
More than 90 per cent of the incoming repair orders leave the Repair Center within 24 hours and are back in service with our customers
the next day.

In diesem Bereich bietet die Unternehmensgruppe neben Hard- und Softwarekomponenten auch die Funk­
ausleuchtung und die Installation von Access-Points sowie die komplette Planung, Installation, Inbetriebnahme
eines Funknetzwerkes und die Übergabe an den Kunden. Darüber hinaus umfasst das Leistungsspektrum
auch die Integration der gelieferten Datenfunklösung in die bestehende IT-Struktur.

In this area of business, the Group not only offers hardware and software components but also radio coverage and installation of
access points as well as all-round planning, installation, implementation, commissioning and handover of a wireless network to the
customer. Furthermore, the range of performances also includes integration of the radio frequency solutions supplied into the existing
IT structure.

RFID-Technologie
RFID technology

Bereits vor Jahren hat E+P die RFID-Technologie in die logistischen Prozesse des Lagerführungssystems
LFS integriert. Die RFID-Technologie ist damit im Standardumfang dieser Warehouse-Management-
Software enthalten und für die Kunden des Softwarespezialisten jederzeit verfügbar. Darüber hinaus bietet
das E+P-Tochterunternehmen ITL – Institut für technische Lösungen in der Logistik die Möglichkeit, über
Machbarkeitsstudien den möglichen Einsatz von RFID in Kundenumgebungen bis ins Detail zu prüfen. Die
enge Zusammenarbeit mit wissenschaftlichen Forschungs- und Entwicklungseinrichtungen ist auch für
diesen Arbeitsbereich der Unternehmensgruppe charakteristisch.

Years ago, E+P had already integrated RFID technology into the logistics processes
for the warehouse management system LFS. RFID technology is therefore included
in the standard scope for this warehouse management software and is available to
the software specialist’s customers at any time. Moreover, the E+P subsidiary ITL
(the Institute for Technical Solutions in Logistics) offers the option of carrying out a
detailed check of the potential use of RFID in customer environments using feasibility

Material flow computer

Zum Leistungsangebot der E+P-Gruppe im Bereich Materialflussrechner gehören ein qualitativ hochwertiges
Lösungsangebot zur herstellerunabhängigen Anbindung automatischer Lager- und Fördertechnik sowie der
Austausch veralteter Materialflussrechner für bestehende Anlagen. Diese Arbeiten erfolgen in der Regel im
laufenden Betrieb.

The range of performances by the E+P Group in the field of material flow computers also includes a high-quality solution for producer-
independent connection of automated storage technology and material handling as well as the replacement of obsolete material flow
computers for existing installations. This work usually takes place during regular operation.

Training and seminars

Bereits 2001 hat die E+P-Gruppe ein weltweit einzigartiges Logistik- und Schulungszentrum eingerichtet.
Frühzeitig lassen sich hier die logistischen Prozesse der E+P-Kunden live abbilden. Optimierungsmöglichkei-
ten können so demonstriert und neue Techno­logien durch den Kunden für den praktischen Einsatz in seinem
Warehouse getestet werden.
Um Lagerpersonal für neue Anforderungen und Aufgaben zu qualifizieren sowie zur Einarbeitung neuer Mit-
arbeiter steht ein umfangreiches Programm professioneller Warehouse-Schulungen und -Seminare zur Verfü-
gung. Neben der theoretischen Aus- und Weiterbildung trainieren die Seminarteilnehmer im E+P-Logistikzen-
trum praxisnah den Einsatz modernster Warehouse-Technologien.

Already in 2001 the E+P Group established a one-of-a-kind logistics and training centre. Here, the logistics processes of E+P customers
can be represented live. Optimisation possibilities can be demonstrated and new technologies can be tested by the customers for
practical application in their warehouses.
In order to qualify warehouse personnel for new requirements and tasks, as well as for the on-the-job-training of new employees, an
extensive program of professional warehouse training and seminars is available. Along with the theoretical training and continuing
education, the seminar participants train in the E+P logistics centre, in step with actual practice in the application of the most modern
warehouse technologies.

Seit Ende der 90er Jahre hat sich Ehrhardt + Partner zu einem international agierenden Warehouse-Experten

Since the end of the 1990’s Ehrhardt + Partner has developed into an internationally operating warehouse expert. The extensive expert
knowledge, professional project management and reliable support that E+P provides are qualities valued by customers throughout the
world.

Gegenwärtig sind die Lösungen der Unternehmensgruppe auf fünf Kontinenten erfolgreich im Einsatz. Zu
den ersten Projekten in Spanien, der Schweiz und Frankreich kamen Installationen in Argentinien und Nord­
amerika hinzu. Heute werden auch Logistikzentren in Tschechien, Ungarn, Russland und Polen mit dem
Lagerführungssystem LFS verwaltet. Nach interessanten Projekten in Neuseeland, China, Marokko und dem
Mittleren Osten ist das Thema Internationalisierung für Ehrhardt + Partner noch lange nicht abgeschlossen.
Weitere Zukunftsmärkte sind bereits identifiziert und werden in absehbarer Zeit erschlossen.

Company solutions are currently being employed successfully on five different continents. In addition to the initial projects in Spain,
Switzerland and France, installations in Argentina and North America were carried out. Today, logistics centres in the Czech Republic,
Hungary, Russia and Poland are administered with the warehouse management system LFS. After interesting projects in New Zealand,
China, Morocco and the Middle East, the theme of internationalisation is far from concluded for Ehrhardt + Partner. Additional future
markets have already been identified and will be developed in the foreseeable future.
