‘UnPrisoned’ Ups Jee Young Han To Series Regular For Season 2

EXCLUSIVE: Jee Young Han, who recurred as Esti Nelson in Season 1 of UnPrisoned, has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming second season of the Onyx Collective dramedy, starring and executive produced by Kerry Washington and Delroy Lindo.

Han’s Esti is Paige’s (Washington) foster sister, who was adopted at age 4 from a Korean orphanage by Paige’s foster parents. She appeared in six episodes in the first season.

Inspired by creator Tracy McMillan’s life, UnPrisoned follows a messy but perfectionist relationship therapist, social media influencer and single mom, Paige Alexander (Washington), whose life is turned right-side-up when her dad, Edwin Alexander (Lindo), gets out of prison and moves in with her and her teenage son.

The series is executive produced by McMillan, Yvette Lee Bowser and Washington alongside Pilar Savone, through their Simpson Street production company, and Lindo. Joy Gorman Wettels and Jen Braeden also executive produce.

Han’s other credits include a heavily recurring role on Perry Mason. She also stars opposite Anderson .Paak in K-POPS, which is one of the Gala presentations at this year’s Toronto Film Festival. She’s repped by Innovative Artists and Ziffren Brittenham.
