Decider’s Guide to Skinny Bundles: Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, DirecTV Now or YouTube TV?

Sling TV, PlayStation VueDirecTV Now and YouTube TV offer channels from satellite and cable providers with the same streaming delivery as services like Netflix and Hulu. Their base plans offer smaller channel lineups than typical bundled TV plans at a fraction of the cost.

Here are the channels available on the leading skinny bundles:

The services are available on numerous platforms:

  • Sling TV is available on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast, Xbox One, iPhone, iPad, Android and other devices.
  • PlayStation Vue is available on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast, PlayStation 3 and 4, iPhone, iPad and Android.
  • DirecTV Now is available on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast, iPhone, iPad, Android and other devices. A Roku app is planned for early 2017.
  • YouTube TV is available on Google Chromecast, iPhone, iPad, Android in select markets, including Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia and San Francisco.
