For the uninitiated, the series follows the heart-breaking case of Natalee Holloway, an 18-year-old who went missing back in 2005 during a high school graduation trip to Aruba. Despite garnering world-wide media attention, the perplexing case remains unsolved. Now, twelve years later, Natalee’s father, Dave Holloway, and his longtime private investigator T.J. Ward investigate a potentially game-changing new lead that could finally provide much-needed answers to this harrowing whodunit.
Decider recapped the case — complete with all the latest updates — before last week’s premiere.
Episode 1 provided a comprehensive recap of the case and introduced us to Gabriel, a man who claims his former roommate assisted the prime suspect in Holloway’s disappearance, Joran Van der Sloot, in disposing of Natalee’s remains. Episode 2 follows a covert operation hatched by Dave Holloway and his team of investigators as they attempt to obtain a taped confession that could finally convict his daughter’s killer.
You can stream the episode for free before it premieres Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. on Oxygen.
