The upcoming Will Ferrell–Adam McKay produced comedy series No Activity has set its cast and has an official premiere date on CBS All Access.
Series co-creator Patrick Brammall was previously announced to star, and he will now be joined by co-star Tim Meadows. Guest stars will include: Ferrell, J.K. Simmons, Amy Sedaris, Mark Berry, Arturo Castro, Mackenzie Davis, Bridget Everett, Darren Gilshenan, Travis Guba, Jake Johnson, Sunita Mani, Jason Mantzoukas, Adrian Martinez, Jesse Plemons, Fred Pohl, Alex Rodriguez, Courtenay Taylor, Michaela Watkins, and Daniel Zolghadri.
The series will premiere on Nov. 12, the same night as the conclusion of the first part of Season 1 of Star Trek: Discovery. New episodes of No Activity will be available weekly on Sundays exclusively for CBS All Access subscribers.
The show marks CBS All Access’ first original comedy. Set against the world of a major drug cartel bust, the series follows two low-level cops (Brammall and Meadows) who have spent far too much time in a car together; two criminals who are largely kept in the dark; two dispatch workers who haven’t really clicked; and two Mexican tunnelers who are in way too small a space considering they’ve only just met.
No Activity is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Funny Or Die and Gary Sanchez Productions. It is based on the Australian series produced by Jungle and broadcast by Stan. The series is co-created and executive produced by Trent O’Donnell and Brammall, alongside executive producers Ferrell, McKay, Jason Burrows and Joe Farrell. Trent O’Donnell will direct all episodes.

No Activity will be the third original scripted series to premiere on CBS All Access. The streaming service launched The Good Wife spinoff The Good Fight earlier this year, while Star Trek: Discovery premiering in late September. The streamer is also developing the drama series $1 and Strange Angel.
