There’s an inherent risk associated with gambling. When you finally succumb to the intoxicating allure of that glitzy siren known as the Vegas Wheel (which as every true gambler knows has the best odds in the casino), you’re either going to walk away a winner or a loser. In my experience, it’s as a loser and they’re real sticklers about refunding your bet or accepting a Don Mattingly rookie card as legitimate currency, which we can all agree is definitely rude and probably illegal. When it comes to finding a new movie or TV show to stream, however, there’s absolutely zero risk involved in using the newly relaunched Netflix Roulette to help you find something new to watch!
Recently acquired and revamped by Reelgood, Netflix Roulette is a free service that randomly selects a TV show or movie to stream across various platforms. Also available for Hulu, Amazon Prime, HBO, Showtime, and Starz, users have the ability to narrow down their selections based on genre, type, and IMDB score.
With new shows and movies being added to our favorite platforms on a daily basis, Netflix Roulette is a fun way to help you discover your next favorite show or movie.
This isn’t Netflix Roulette’s first visit to the virtual casino known as the internet.
Back in February, I attempted to review the old version of Netflix Roulette, referred to as the “AllFlicks Netflix Randomizer,” only to discover that it hadn’t been updated since 2014. After doing some research, I discovered that many films and television shows were released after 2014, most notably Dirty Grandpa and the hit FOX series Lucifer. I initially planned to allow Netflix Roulette to dictate my viewing schedule for the week, but the malfunctioning website resulted in me being forced to watch a documentary about wolves that I’d only recommend watching if you are in fact a wolf.
The issues that plagued the original appear to be fixed in Netflix Roulette 2.0. I took a few spins and landed on some exceptional streaming options:
