‘Unsolved Mysteries’ on Amazon Has Updated Old Episodes, And It’s a Game-Changer

I honestly don’t understand why every single person on the planet isn’t as obsessed with watching old Unsolved Mysteries reruns as I am. I recently attended an Easter brunch and everyone looked at me like I was a lunatic when I tried to delicately pivot the conversation from a girl named Laura’s (or maybe Lauren’s?) pregnancy to the fact that twelve glorious seasons of this true-crime game-changer are currently streaming on Amazon’s Prime Video. Babies are fine, Laura (or Lauren), but don’t you dare discount the tranquil charms of Robert Stack’s spooky storytelling spectacular known as Unsolved Mysteries.

You might have noticed the old episodes while perusing Prime Video, but what you may have yet to discover is that many of these Unsolved Mysteries reruns now include new updates on old mysteries. Whoever is responsible for this, let’s just call it what it is, gift, is an actual hero who deserves cold, hard cash or an honorary parade.

Everyone knows that the best part of Unsolved Mysteries is the updates, which you can follow along with on the Unsolved Mysteries website. Take for instance the disappearance of Craig Williamson. In the Season 6 finale, the 49-year-old went missing after going on a business trip to Colorado Springs. His wife, Christine Reinhard, was adamant that Craig, who had recently suffered a concussion, was still alive and suffering from amnesia. The case is interesting on its own, but the update elevates the story to a whole new level. Turns out that Craig really was alive and claims to have lost his memory after being beaten and robbed by two men. The couple eventually reunited, but Craig had no memory of Christine, which unfortunately led to the two divorcing. Bananas, right?

As if that weren’t enough, the Unsolved Mysteries wiki reports that investigators are still suspicious of Craig’s amnesia and believe that he staged his disappearance.

You got that right, Robert.

If this information inspires just one Unsolved Mysteries fan to revisit the show, I’ll know that it was all worth it… and by all I mean my entire life. These modern updates have propelled the Unsolved Mysteries viewing experience to a whole new level. It’s like being told you won a brand new car only to discover moments later that there was a clerical error and you’ll actually be receiving two new cars.

Unsolved Mysteries fans are still waiting for the show’s inevitable revival, but until that day comes, these modern updates offer a satisfying final chapter to some of the most perplexing whodunits of the nineties.
