Did you have any fun plans for this weekend? Cool, we need you to cancel those. Tommy Wiseau has just uploaded the full version of The Room for free on YouTube, so now all of our lives have changed.

If you’ve already seen The Room (THE Room, not Brie Larson’s genuinely magnificent Room), you probably are already perversely in love with its awfulness. Just scroll down to the bottom of this page, click the “Watch The Room” button, and enjoy. Tell the doggie we say “hai.”

If you haven’t seen The Room, then you’re in for a treat. In theory the movie is a romantic drama about a love triangle. However, there are so many loose ends, weird laughs, and bonkers directorial pivots, it’s easy to forget that. The independent movie starring, directed, and written by the mysterious Tommy Wiseau was released in 2003 to a small group of theaters. Almost all of the marketing for the movie came from a lone billboard Wiseau put up that featured his personal phone number and a closeup of his face sinisterly smiling. Eventually the movie started to be passed around in comedy, industry, and critical circles as gained a reputation of being one of the worst movies ever made.

The movie is known for being so legendarily awful that another movie was made about its legacy, the James and Dave Franco-starring The Disaster Artist. Packed with incredible perfromances from big-name comedians, the 2017 movie about a film so awful it became great is largely considered to be a success. It currently has a 91 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. The Room, on the other hand, only has a 26 percent.

If you’re looking for a crash course on some of the worst modern cinema has to offer, The Room simply must be at the top of your list. Or if you want to drink a bit too much and watch something that will make you irrationally happy, it works for that too.
