The woman who caused a full season’s worth of drama on Southern Charm will not be returning for more. Ashley Jacobs, the ex-girlfriend of Thomas Ravenel, who famously battled his ex, Kathryn Dennis, in the form of brutal arguments and shocking hateful words took to her Instagram to declare that she would not be a part of the Bravo series for Season 6 which is expected to return in the spring.

“After a lot of prayerful consideration, I have decided not to return to Southern Charm next season,” her caption read, under a photo of the ocean. “I’ve been blessed with an amazing career, family, & friends and I don’t want to put those things in jeopardy for a reality tv show.” Jacobs was previously a nurse in California before she relocated to South Carolina in 2017 to be with Ravenel and appear on the show.

“Honestly I considered filming again because I desperately want to tell my side of the story. But after experiencing how unfair the editing process can be, I don’t think I’ll ever have a fair shot. I appreciate you all following me throughout this journey.”

Jacobs repeatedly clashed with Dennis in the moments when she wasn’t too busy begging Ravenel for an engagement ring, and overall did not make many friends in the Southern Charm cast. This includes matriarch Patricia Altschul who took to Twitter this morning to address the claims by mocking Jacobs’ post.

“After prayerful consideration, I’ve decided to decline the Nobel Peace Prize and the swimsuit cover of Sports Illustrated,” Altschul shared, which is a pretty brilliant burn.

The only casting announcement made by Bravo was that Ravenel would not be returning to the show, as he’s currently being investigated for sexual assault allegations. The network likely will not comment on any further casting decisions until early 2019, though the series is currently filming the next season in Charleston, South Carolina.
