Hulu’s brand new limited series Four Weddings and a Funeral is a saccharine-sweet celebration of the rom-com genre. Game of Thrones alum Nathalie Emmanuel plays Maya, a whip-smart political strategist who needs to reassess her own romantic choices and Nikesh Patel (best-known for his dreamy, tortured turn in Indian Summers) is Kash, a wannabe actor desperate to rewrite his own life story. After a meet cute at Heathrow airport, Maya and Kash are stunned to discover that he is dating Maya’s best friend Ainsley (Rebecca Rittenhouse).

The first four episodes of Four Weddings and a Funeral debuted on Hulu today and they are full of plot twists, major drama, and an avalanche of rom-com references. That means Four Weddings and a Funeral Episode 5 “Love, Chalet” will arrive on Hulu on Wednesday, August 7. New episodes premiere on subsequent Wednesdays after that.

There are 10 episodes in the first season of Four Weddings and a Funeral. During the show’s panel at Summer TCA, Mindy Kaling confirmed that the story is intended to only be one season long. However she and showrunner Tracey Wigfield said that if the audience was there for a second season, they would think about it. Still, Kaling said it was currently “impossible” to consider a Four Weddings and a Funeral Season 2.
