As if previously announced Warner Bros. TV panels for Hulu’s Castle Rock Season 2 and a pilot screening of HBO’s highly anticipated Watchmen weren’t enough, the company is basically taking over Sunday at New York Comic Con with a slew of back-to-back panels, including Riverdale, Batwoman and many more.
Sunday, October 6 kicks off at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden with a special video presentation and Q&A focusing on Season 4 of Riverdale. Unlike at San Diego Comic-Con (of note, the two conventions are produced by separate entities) which brought the Riverdale teens, the parents are making an appearance in the city that never sleeps. Currently scheduled to appear are series stars Mädchen Amick, Marisol Nichols, Mark Consuelos and Skeet Ulrich, plus executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. They’ll be on hand to tease what to expect in the highly anticipated season premiere, which will pay tribute to Luke Perry, who suddenly passed away back in March; as well as the rest of the season, which will pick up the week after the October 9 premiere with the usual assortment of sexy murder and mayhem.
Right after that is a presentation for last season’s surprise NBC hit mystery series Manifest with series cast and executive producer/creator Jeff Rake, and then a packed panel for The CW’s second season of the rebooted Roswell, New Mexico featuring (deep breath) Jeanine Mason, Nathan Dean Parsons, Michael Vlamis, Lily Cowles and Tyler Blackburn, along with executive producers Carina Adly MacKenzie, Chris Hollier and Julie Plec. That’s followed by screening of DC Universe’s upcoming animated Harley Quinn (which debuted to solid reviews in San Diego).
The day closes out with another packed panel, for The CW’s upcoming Arrow-verse show, Batwoman. After star Ruby Rose had to unfortunately cancel on her debut appearance at San Diego Comic-Con, will she show up in New York? Currently “cast and producers” are scheduled to appear, which is pretty vague, so fingers crossed. FYI, that panel ends at 2:45pm, so you’ll have a good five hours and 15 minutes to gloat to your friends that you got to see the Batwoman pilot, before it debuts on air that night at 8/7c.
Oh, and if you thought you were going to be able to snag a bathroom break during this epic, four plus hour marathon? Think again. The day will also include exclusive footage presentations for Black Lightning, Katy Keene, Legacies, Prodigal Son and Titans. Buckle up, folks, and check out the full WB/New York Comic Con schedule below:
