There’s drama afoot at Will & Grace. On Thursday, TVLine‘s Michael Ausiello reported that star Megan Mullally will miss two episodes of the sitcom’s final 18-episode season, which premiered last night on NBC. Mullally did not provide details about the temporary leave of absence, but TVLine reports that her two-episode departure “comes amid rumors of friction on the set between her and co-star Debra Messing.” Decider has reached out to Mullally for comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication.

According to TVLine, Mullally’s Karen Walker will not appear in two episodes of Will & Grace Season 11; the two episodes are scheduled to air later this season. Will & Grace‘s final season was slated to debut in early 2020, but earlier this month, NBC canceled freshman sitcom Sunnyside and shifted Will & Grace‘s release schedule to air in its place.

Mullally did not specify why she is missing two episodes this season, but for months, rumors have circulated that the actress is at odds with her Will & Grace co-stars. TVLine reports that Mullally and Messing, who plays Grace, unfollowed each other on Instagram earlier this year, and the two are rarely seen together in behind-the-scenes photos shared on social media. Based on a quick search of Mullally’s Instagram, it appears that the actress has also unfollowed co-star Sean Hayes.

In September, Sean McCormack, the sitcom’s titular Will, attempted to squash rumors of a feud within the group. “It seems crazy. It is crazy!” he told Us Weekly about Mullally and Messing’s Instagram drama. “I think people worried about that entirely too much.” McCormack went on to say that he and his Will & Grace co-stars “get along like a house on fire,” just as they “always have.”

The eleventh and final season of Will & Grace airs every Thursday at 9:30/8:30c on NBC.
