Eric Andre’s Stand-Up Special, ‘Legalize Everything, to Premiere on Netflix

Eric Andre has showcased his absurdist humor with The Eric Andre Show and given a new voice to Azizi in the live-action remake of The Lion King, but now he’s trying his hand at stand-up. The comedian announced on Instagram today that he’s debuting his first ever stand-up special on Netflix next month, titled Legalize Everything.

Adre’s upcoming special shares the same name as his 2019 tour and was filmed last November at the Republic in New Orleans. “Andre breaks the boundaries of comedy as he critiques the war on drugs, the war on sex, and the war on fart jokes!” reads Netflix’s description of the special.

In a video promoting Legalize Everything posted on his Instagram earlier today, Andre jokes about President Trump, saying, “the guy from Celebrity Apprentice was appointed the President of the United States,” before breaking into laughter and announcing his new special. Eric Notarnicola, a writer and producer on Nathan Fielder’s Nathan For You, directed Andre’s special, and Have A Good Trip producer Mike Rosenstein executive produced the project with Sunset Pictures and A24.

Andre fans can look forward to some more content this year along with his upcoming special, since The Eric Andre Show was renewed for Season 5 on Adult Swim in 2019 and is expected to premiere later this year. Andre also has a new film full of hidden-camera pranks titled Bad Trip, which he stars in alongside Lil Rel Howery and Tiffany Haddish. Bad Trip was accidentally released on Amazon in April, but it was promptly removed from the platform and is now set to debut on Netflix, Bloomberg reports.

Legalize Everything officially comes to Netflix June 23. Watch Andre’s teaser for his special in the video above.
