We, made it, folks: the last Wednesday of May. Whether this past month has flown by or dragged at a snail’s pace, the thing we can all be pumped for, at least, is today Woman Crush Wednesday! As we look ahead to a brand new month, it only seems fitting that we celebrate an actress at the beginning of her professional career who has so many great, new things coming her way. She’s a star to watch, so make sure you remember her name. Everybody give it up for this week’s WCW, the terrific Diana Silvers!

WHO’S THAT GAL: Diana Silvers

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Silvers will star in the highly anticipated and star-studded new Netflix sitcom Space Force, which premieres on the platform this Friday, May 29. Silvers plays Erin Naird, daughter of Mark Naird (Steve Carell), who is the general in charge of a group of people tasked with establishing the sixth branch of the United States Armed Forces, the United States Space Force. The series follows Naird and his group’s collaboration to get “boots on the moon” per the orders of the President, and has already received buzz from The New York TimesWiredRolling Stone, and more. We can’t wait to see what Silvers brings to the table in what is sure to be the hottest new show of the month.

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: At the age of 22, Silvers already has an impressive list of credits, and is poised for decades of many more. Her first professional role was in a 2018 episode of Hulu horror anthology series Into the Dark. She then appeared in M. Night Shyamalan written and directed 2019 drama, sci-fi, thriller film Glass before landing the role of Hope in the film for which she is best known, Olivia Wilde directed 2019 comedy Booksmart. From there, she landed a leading role as Maggie alongside Octavia Spencer in 2019 horror mystery film Ma before landing her Space Force role. Judging by the varied list of titles and genres Silvers has acted in, as well as the many famous actors, directors, and writers she has worked alongside in her relatively young career, it’s hard not to be impressed at everything she has accomplished thus far, and we’re extremely excited to see what she’s got coming up next.

WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER AGAIN: Once you binge all of Space Force, you won’t have to be in withdrawal for long! The actress and model already has two projects set to come out within the next year, crime drama film Ava, which is about a deadly assassin (Jessica Chastain) who works for a black ops organization, traveling the globe specializing in high profile hits when one job goes horribly wrong, leaving her to fight for her own survival, as well as in drama film Birds of Paradise, about two girls (Silvers and Kristine Froseth) at an elite Parisian ballet academy have their bond and bodies tested as they compete for a contract to join the company of the Opéra national de Paris. We can’t wait to watch these films and the many more she’ll be a part of in the future! For even more from Silvers, you can check out her Twitter and Instagram.
