The “A” in AGT has a new meaning: awkward. Last night, America’s Got Talent quarterfinals comedian Usama Siddiquee stunned the panel with an edgy set that quickly veered into politically incorrect-territory. While Howie Mandel may have enjoyed the comic’s jokes, Heidi Klum did not, and she made her disdain clear. “Being called a ‘tramp’ was probably was my least uncomfortable part of the whole thing,” said the longtime judge. “Let’s see what America thinks.”

Siddiquee, the son of Bengali immigrants, started off his set with a bit about getting into sticky situations due to his name. “I was at JFK airport, and a friend I have not seen in years sees me from across the airport, and he screams my name in the airport,” he said. “Just like, ‘Oh my god, it’s Usama!’ Is there a worse thing you can scream in an airport?”

The AGT contestant ultimately revealed that at the time, he was on his way to Miami, where he and his friends were planning to go clubbing. “Club music does kind of suck, but it’s also the most fun music of all time,” said Siddiquee. “Club music is so fun, the DJ can say anything he wants inside the beat as long as he adds a beat drop. It makes it all okay.”

And with that, things went off the rails. When it came time to list things EDM DJs can say mid-set, Siddiquee listed sexist phrases like “Women shouldn’t vote” and “Get back to the kitchen, girl.” Added the comic, “When that beat drops, so does feminism.”

Siddiquee could have potentially saved himself there, but instead, he chose to double down. “Some of y’all are skeptical. I’ll prove it right now,” he said, turning to frowning judge Heidi Klum. “Heidi, if I called you a ‘tramp,’ you’d be like, ‘How dare you?’ But if I was like, ‘Tramp, tramp, tramp, tramp,’ you’d be like, ‘Well, I do get loose on occasion.'” Oh, boy.

When it came time for the judges to weigh in, Mandel acknowledged that Siddiquee may have gone too far. “I think that you started off fantastic, and I love your energy and I love your commitment,” he said. “I was just sitting beside these two, and I don’t know if they were giving you the right response, or the response that you were expecting.”

Cut to a pouting Klum, who said that she didn’t enjoy “being called a ‘tramp'” on national television. “Just you,” joked Mandel. “She’s the only woman who doesn’t want to be called a ‘tramp.'”

“I was laughing, and then for a second I was like, ‘Should I be not laughing? Should I feel guilty that I’m laughing?'” added Sofia Vergara. “You took a very risky theme for this performance.” That’s one way to put it!
