Warning: This article contains mild spoilers for The Babysitter: Killer Queen on Netflix.

You didn’t ask for it, but Netflix just came out with a sequel to the 2017 horror-comedy, The Babysitter. The Babysitter: Killer Queen, which began streaming on Netflix today, brings back old faces, including a much older Judah Lewis as Cole, and it introduces a few new ones, like former Disney Channel star Jenna Ortega. But those who knew Ortega best as Harley Diaz in Stuck in the Middle should get ready for a shock because Ortega goes full goth girl in The Babysitter: Killer Queen.

Director McG (Charlie’s Angels) is also back with his signature style—which is to say, irreverent, gross, overly sexual, and just plain weird. Perhaps it’s no surprise then that when Ortega’s character—a new girl at Cole’s high school named Phoebe—introduces herself, she appears in a negligee, announces that she’s pregnant, and then screams bloody murder. Oh, also, there’s a rumor going around that she murdered her parents. Hasn’t Cole had enough murderous women in his life?!

As fascinated as Cole is by this strange new girl, he has other things on his mind, like his childhood crush Melanie (Emily Alyn Lind). But when things go terribly wrong on a lake house getaway that Melanie invited Cole to, he’s grateful to have Phoebe by his side. It turns out, despite her love of snakes, she may just be the only sane person left in Cole’s life.

Even if this bonkers movie isn’t to your tastes, Ortega is objectively charming in The Babysitter: Killer Queen. And it turns out she’s pretty charming IRL, too.
