New on Netflix June 4: Sweet Tooth

The journey is about to begin in Sweet Tooth: the adventure series that is new on Netflix this weekend. Based on the DC Comics series of the same name, this post-apocalyptic fantasy series tells the story of Gus (Christian Convery): a young boy who is half-human and half-deer who lives with his father in a secluded cabin after something called “The Great Crumble” wiped out half of society. But secluded life with his father is suddenly cut short when Gus meets and befriends a wandering loner named Jepperd (Nonso Anozie), and the two set out on a journey across the American wasteland in search of answers. Fantastical, post-apocalyptic and filled with adventure? It is no wonder Sweet Tooth is one of the top new shows on Netflix this month!

New on Amazon Prime Video June 4: Dom

New on Prime Video this weekend is Dom, the platform’s first original scripted Brazilian series. Inspired by the infamous true story, this crime drama centers on Victor (Flávio Tolezani), a police officer who has dedicated his life to fighting the narcotraffic war, and his son Pedro (Gabriel Leone), a drug addict who has become one of the most wanted crime lords in Brazil. A cruel twist of fate has placed this father and son on opposite sides of the drug war in Rio, and Dom is set to test once and for all what is strongest: family or addiction.

The latest installment of the Hulu FX documentary series The New York Times Presents is new on Hulu this weekend. New on HBO Max June 4: The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do it

Another Warner Bros. film is new on HBO Max this weekend, but we are incredibly grateful that this one, in particular, is debuting on our home screens. Based on a true story (terrifying thought!) The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It explores the first U.S. murder trial where demonic possession is being used as a legal defense. In the vain of the rest of The Conjuring franchise, this horrifying supernatural film follows paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) as they risk their lives to prove the innocence of the accused and the existence of evil forces, sending them on a shocking journey, unlike anything they’ve ever experienced before. Lock your doors and perhaps turn on the lights before you settle in to watch The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It on HBO Max this weekend.
