‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ Debuts a New Song in This Exclusive Clip

After at least a year spent apart from loved ones, everyone will be able to appreciate the joyful innovation behind “Ain’t Seen Nothing.” The song will debut during Episode 9, “Spring Break.” Over the holiday break our new Wildcats are vacationing across the world, but they still want to practice. Enter the joyful fun of video editing. “Ain’t Seen Nothing” has all of the screen stunts you perfected during lockdown. There are cross screen high-fives, TikTok-inspired hand dances, and ducking beneath the camera. There’s even one person clearly streaming from their bedroom (Olivia Rodrigo’s Nini) and someone who’s staying somewhere obscenely luxurious compared to their friends (Frankie Rodriguez’s Carlos).

But “Spring Break” isn’t all about perfect timing and Zoom dancing. The episode’s logline reads, “When Gina finds herself stranded at the airport over Spring Break, a surprise run-in changes her mind about what she wants. Meanwhile, the separated Wildcats find a way to bond over song during their break, as Ricky finally sees his mom again after their opening night run-in at High School Musical.” So yes, you can expect some serious parental drama on the horizon.

It’s good that these East High teens are taking a break because life is about to ramp up. Throughout Season 2 the cast has focused on one goal: winning the Alan Menken Award for high school theater productions. They’ve chosen their perfect play, Beauty and the Beast. They’ve made the casts lists, choreographed the dances, and inserted their secret star Nini back into the play and The Rose. Now all that’s left is to win. We only have four episodes left, folks. Here’s hoping the most talented teens on television can bring home the gold.
