If you want to know more about RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Episode 5, we’ve got a recap for you below.

What happened on RPDR All Stars 6 Episode 5 ?

This drama-filled episode got off to a druh-matic start when last week’s winer, Jan, learned that she was the only person besides Yara Sofia, last week’s eliminated queen, to pick A’keria to go home. So, uh, you misjudged that one, Jan! This was probably the least stressful thing to happen to Jan in this episode, TBH. Ru had the queens assemble themselves into three groups of three for the maxi challenge: a riff on Facebook’s talk show Red Table Talk called Pink Table Talk. Eureka!, Trinity K. Bonet, and A’keria C. Davenport chose to talk about sex; Scarlet Envy, Ra’Jah D. O’Hara, and Kylie Sonique Love got the topic of motherhood; and Ginger Minj, Jan, and Pandora Boxx got to talk about body issues.

So… this challenge was wild. The queens were essentially tasked with dredging up personal issues, and then they were judged on how well they… talked about their private lives? To be fair, Eureka!, Trinity, and A’keria understood the assignment and had a kiki that was fun, vulnerable, supportive, and did not feel exploitative. The same goes for Ra’Jah, who really bared her soul, and Ginger, who talked revealed that her size is from surgery she had as a teen to fix a bowel obstruction. But other queens? Y’know, it feels wrong to critique how they performed because the challenge was personally challenging!

But you better believe the queens got critiques! But first, on the main stage, category was Clash of the Patterns. Of all the queens, Trinity, Eureka!, and Ra’Jah seemed to do the best job at turning these clashing looks into something elegant—but the top winner of the week was Ginger. Ru even said that Team Sex had the best chat, but nope, the win went to Ginger. And somehow Jan and Kylie ended up in the bottom with Scarlet?? Their critiques were rough, especially since critiquing the challenge kinda meant critiquing a person’s personality. Jan was once again criticized for being an overachiever, and Ru said Scarlet’s indecisive switching from being vulnerable to acting made her “uncomfortable.” Yeesh.

For the lip sync, Ginger dueled against Mayhem Miller (after a Bianca Del Rio fakeout) to Lizzo’s frantic banger “Phone.” Ginger won the battle, although Mayhem was another in a line of thoroughly entertaining lip sync assassins. And ultimately, Ginger chose Scarlet to get the chop. What a week.
