Happy Hump Day, everybody! Now that Hanukkah is over and Christmas is still to come, you may be searching for something to celebrate in the meantime to keep those holiday spirits high. Well, look no further, friends, because we’ve got you covered with something to jump for joy over: the latest and greatest Woman Crush Wednesday! This week, we’re talking up a talented actress and generous, wonderful woman whose hard work over the years has earned her everything from Emmy nominations to a position as a Goodwill Ambassador for The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. So, without further ado, give it up for your WCW, the delightful Kristin Davis.

WHO’S THAT GAL: Kristin Davis

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Davis reprises her longtime Sex and the City role as Charlotte York Goldenblatt in the 10-episode revival of the original HBO series, entitled And Just Like That…, which premieres on HBO Max this Thursday, December 9th. The romantic comedy-drama mini-series picks up with three of the original show’s leading ladies (Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Davis) as they navigate the complex realities of life, romance, and friendship in their 50s. New faces like Nicole Ari Parker, Sarita Choudhury, Sara Ramirez, and Karen Pittman also enter the fray as main cast members, breathing new life and perspectives into the familiar story and its version of New York City.

And Just Like That brings the icons (and HBO bastions!) that are Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte into our homes and on our screens once more, and everyone is pretty psyched about it, with publications like The New York TimesCNN, us here at Decider and more all shouting out the revival that has both fans and critics buzzing. Get in on all of the heartfelt, entertaining, and thought-provoking moments that this conscientious revival and its incredible cast provide by checking out And Just Like Thatas soon as it hits HBO Max this week.

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: Years before she was taking over NYC as Charlotte, Davis got her start in 1987, when she had her professional onscreen debut playing Jane in horror comedy film Doom Asylum. Just a few years later, the actress made a splash with her first television role, earning recurring work as Betsy Chilson, R.N. in Emmy Award-winning ABC soap opera General Hospital in 1991, before earning a string of guest appearances in shows like Mann & MachineThe Larry Sanders ShowDr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, and ER. 1995 marked a big year for Davis, as she began playing recurring role Brooke Armstrong (who later became a main cast member) in Fox soap opera Melrose Place, in addition to acting in two films, romantic-comedy Nine Months and sci-fi crime drama Alien Nation: Body and Soul.

Davis’s career, however, soared to new heights once she began the work for which she is best known, as Sex and the City‘s Charlotte York, in 1998, and continuing to play her until the HBO series’s finale in 2004. After starting with the show, she steadily built up an impressive filmography that included acting in series like FriendsWill & GraceMiss Spider’s Sunny Patch FriendsBad Teacher, and Labor of Love, as well as in movies like 1998 black comedy Sour Grapes, 2005 superhero adventure The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lava Girl, 2009 romantic-comedy Couples Retreat, 2019 Christmas romantic-comedy Holiday in the Wild, 2021 thriller-drama Deadly Illusions, and, of course, the 2008 Sex and the City movie in addition to its 2010 sequel.

Clearly, Davis has made quite the mark on the world of entertainment throughout her incredible career thus far, and we are so excited to see all that she will continue to do and accomplish in the years to come.

WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER AGAIN: Luckily, you don’t have to wait too much longer to see more from Davis. The actress is a cast member and executive producer for the currently in development HBO Max black comedy series Deeds, in which she stars as a Los Angeles realtor whose desperation and new collaborators (who are a sociopathic young couple) spur her life and work to spiral out of control.

For even more from Davis while you wait for her exciting new project, be sure to check her out on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to stay up-to-date on the latest from your world-class WCW.
