While some watched Sunday Night Football, others were consumed in the heartbreaking season finale of House of the DragonThe episode, which wrapped up on a cliffhanger, left fans both upset yet cheering on Rhaenyra Targaryen and whatever way she chooses to avenge her son’s death in the next season.

Rhaenyra, played by Emma D’Arcy, suffered three losses in just this one episode: her father, her unborn child, and her son, Lucerys, who plunged to his death during a dragon fight with Aemond. While Rhaenyra, who also learns that Aegon had been declared king, spends the episode rallying allies and attempting to prevent a war, her fierce look as she learns of her son’s death in the final shot of the episode has viewers looking forward to Season 2.

“I will be supporting all of Rhaenyra’s war crimes next season,” one wrote while another said, “I support women’s rights but more importantly I support women’s wrongs and I will support her through whatever she does next season.”

A third person added, “I don’t want to hear a pin drop when she starts smoking they ASSES in season2 cause it’s going to be FUCKING VALID.”

“She lost her daddy, her baby daddy, had a miscarriage, her son was killed, her throne usurped, everyone in king’s landing betraying her WHATEVER SHE DOES NEXT SEASON IS JUSTIFIED I DON’T WANT TO HEAR A SINGLE COMPLAIN,” another fan chimed in.

Someone else wrote, “Okay I can completely understand her rampage now holy shit lol. The dance of the dragons is here!”

“After the most STRESSING cliffhanger, I have to wait TWO YEARS for my fucking incest dragon show??” another pointed out.

In the meantime, you can stream the entire first season of House of the Dragon on HBO Max.
