What Time Do 2022 Midterm Election Results Start Tonight? How to Watch Live on TV and Online

The 2022 midterm elections are especially important this year, with key issues on the line and tight races in swing states across the country. It’s more pressing than ever for Americans to get out and vote, and plenty have already cast their ballot, while many more will be headed to the polls in droves tomorrow on election day.

Between tight races in Pennsylvania, Georgia and Arizona, we’re all waiting to see who claims victory in key states tomorrow. And with races this consequential and close, we’re all looking to tune in and keep score.

When are the 2022 midterm elections on TV?

Coverage of the midterm elections begins today, Nov. 8. Anyone looking to follow the races closely can tune in for ongoing coverage across most major broadcasters, who are expected to begin covering the races at the start of the day and continue throughout Tuesday.

When will 2022 midterm election results begin on TV?

Election results will vary per state. The first polls close at 6 p.m. ET in parts of Indiana and Kentucky, followed by Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia and Vermont at 7 p.m. ET. At 7:30 p.m. ET, North Carolina Ohio and West Virginia wrap up votes, while a larger swath of the nation follows at 8 p.m. ET, when Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee and Washington, D.C. close their polls.

Results will still be rolling in at 8:30 p.m. ET, when Kentucky closes polls, and at 9 p.m. ET, when voting stops in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York,  South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
