Canceled or Renewed 2023: Which Broadcast TV Shows Are Coming Back?

Wondering if your favorite broadcast TV shows have been canceled or renewed yet? We’ve got the answers. Last year was full of devastating TV cancellations, and though the cuts made by streaming services during 2023’s first quarter are a bit concerning, it’s worth noting that a significant number of broadcast shows have been renewed for the 2023-2024 period.

That said, there’s still a chance your favorite weekly watch already got the axe. (I know one of mine did!) Decider took a look at major broadcast networks like ABC, FOX, CBS, The CW, and NBC to let you know which series will be returning and which you’ll have to say goodbye to.

To clarify, the series listed below aren’t shows that are naturally ending in 2023 or going out on their own terms. These titles were actively canceled by their networks and will not be returning to screens, with the exception of existing seasons that still have to run their course. From reliable medical dramas like The Resident to long-running sitcoms like The Goldbergs, some popular series have already gotten canned this year. But other adored series like Abbott Elementary, Survivor, American Auto, and more will be coming back to help dull the pain.
