Joe Biden Shades Former CNN Anchor Don Lemon at White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Shots fired! U.S. President Joe Biden made a brutal remark about former CNN reporter Don Lemon at this year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

The annual event occurred on Saturday (April 29) and saw media personalities, journalists and politicians alike gather for a playful roast of our current administration.

Comedian and actor Roy Wood Jr. was the host, and Chrissy Teigen, Julia Fox, Brittney Griner and Bravo stars Ariana Madix and Lala Kent Spark were among the 2,600 people in attendance.

During Biden’s anticipated remarks, he joked about the concerns about his age, which found new wind after he announced his run for reelection.

“I get that age is a completely reasonable issue.  It’s on everybody’s mind,” the president said at the event.

Addressing the audience, he continued, “And everyone — by ‘everyone’ I mean The New York Times. Headline: ‘Biden’s advanced age is a big issue. Trump’s, however, is not.'”

He continued, “Sorry, that was a New York Times Pitchbot.  I apologize,” and then joked that he should do an interview with the parody account.

Biden then continued the joke, saying, “You call me old?  I call it being seasoned.  You say I’m ancient?  I say I’m wise.”

Biden reached the end of his rant with, “You say I’m over the hill?  Don Lemon would say that’s a man in his prime,” in reference to the controversial comments Lemon made about Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley.

The former CNN anchor — who was terminated from the network in April — was previously benched from his regular talk show CNN This Morning for making sexist comments towards Hayley, saying the 51-year-old was not “in her prime” to run for president.

He later called his comments “inartful and irrelevant.”

Biden continued his speech on a sentimental note, saying, “Folks, it’s wonderful to be back here again, proving I haven’t learned a damn thing,” as he previously attended the dinner in 2022.

“I want everybody to have fun tonight, but please be safe. If you find yourself disoriented or confused, it’s either you’re drunk or Marjorie Taylor Greene,” he said.
