Game of Thrones star Liam Cunningham has expressed interest in reprising his role of Davos in the new series spin-off surrounding Kit Harrington‘s character Jon Snow, and has even reached out to Harrington himself. But to snow avail, he has yet to hear back from him.

The news of another sequel spin-off series stemming from the Emmy-award-winning drama made headlines last June. According to Esquire,  the new show is set to be “a live-action spinoff series centered on the fan-favorite character Jon Snow.”

In an interview with Den of Geek published on Monday (Aug. 7), Cunningham said he “did send [Kit] a text saying, ‘Better Call Davos,’” cleverly alluding to the series Better Call Saul that served as both a prequel and a sequel to Breaking Bad.

“I haven’t heard anything back,” he continued, telling the outlet, “You probably know more than I do.”

He added, “I wish them the best to whoever’s involved in it, and if the check is big enough, I might even show up again!”

IGN noted that Davos ultimately became one of Snow’s “most trusted advisors,” making Cunningham’s potential reprisal of the role more than just a valid idea.

However, the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes may interfere with the show ever getting off the ground. HBO Drama Chief Francesca Orsi told Deadline in May that the series, along with other GoT spin-offs, were “so new and nascent, we don’t even have many scripts on them so still too early to talk about them.”

Fans of the GoT universe still have content in store for them. George R.R. Martin gave an update on July 22 on House of the Dragon, “one of the shows still shooting” amid the strikes due to its actors being part of Equity, a British union. He revealed to fans that he was “told the second season is half done.”

But whatever happens between Cunningham and Harrington, they’ll always have Westeros.

Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon are streaming on Max.
