Where Is Hoda Kotb? ‘Today’ Host Is Mysteriously Missing From Show With Jenna Bush 

Hoda Kotb was noticeably missing from The Today Show and Today With Hoda & Jenna this Wednesday (Sept. 13) morning, leaving fans everywhere wondering where the audience-favorite NBC host could be.

Jenna Bush Hager was joined by NBC anchor Willie Geist instead of her usual partner in crime. Together they interviewed actor and rapper Ice-T about his hip hop career and his marriage to television personality Coco Austin. Kotb also missed out on getting her flu shot with the rest of her Today Show co-anchors on-air this morning.

Kotb’s absence comes just days after she and Bush Hager interviewed Matthew McConaughey and debated whether they could marry Chris Evans – spoiler alert: both Today co-hosts were unsure they could “handle marrying [People Magazine’s] Sexiest Man Alive.”

The first half of this morning’s episode of Today With Hoda & Jenna was interrupted by a breaking news report, so a reason for Kotb’s absence was not given to viewers. But the rest of the broadcast continued without a hitch. But where is Hoda today?

The reason for Kotb’s absence today is still unknown. Decider has reached out to Today for comment, but did not hear back by time of publication. While she was missing on today’s episode, Kotb was still active on social media, sharing empowering messages to her fans and viewers.

Early this morning, around 3 a.m. ET, she shared an image promoting “5 life changing mindset shifts” on Instagram. “Happy Wednesday xo,” she wrote in the caption.

The image and post did not make any mention or hint that she wouldn’t be present for her daytime duties today.

The Today Show host was absent for nearly two weeks in February after her three-year-old daughter, Hope, was hospitalized in the ICU for an undisclosed reason. She later took a week-long break from the show to enjoy spring break with her two daughters.

Kotb regularly hosts The Today Show alongside Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker.

She also hosts Today With Hoda & Jenna, where she and Bush Hager regularly cover pop culture and lifestyle topics.
