‘The Kardashians’: Kris Jenner Gushes Over “Chemistry” With Corey Gamble Despite Their “Big” Age Gap
Caitlyn Jenner is opening up about where she stands with Kris Jenner. While promoting the new tell-all series, House of Kardashian, the former Olympic athlete revealed she has lost contact with her ex-wife.
“Kris [and] I really never talk to anymore. Yeah, it’s sad,” Caitlyn said today on the U.K. daytime talk show This Morning, per Page Six. “If there’s any communication, my manager kind of talks to her and when you have as many kids as I have, you’re closer to some than you are to others.”
Caitlyn and Kris met on a blind date more than 30 years ago and were married six months later. They went on to have daughters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner. Caitlyn also became the stepfather to Kris’ four children from her previous marriage to Robert Kardashian: Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian and Rob Kardashian.
The estranged couple’s relationship was often shown on the family’s E! reality series Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which ran from 2007 to 2021. After they divorced in 2015 — the same year Caitlyn came out as transgender — the I Am Cait star’s relationship with her children became fractured when she wrote negatively about Kris in her book, The Secrets of My Life.
While Caitlyn hasn’t appeared on The Kardashians — the family’s Hulu show, which premiered in 2022 — she confirmed that she does keep up with some of her family members.
“I certainly see them and we do this and that,” she said. “I’m much closer to the Jenner side, but Kris, I don’t really have any more contact with her. It’s kind of sad because we went through a lot.”
As far as her role in House of Kardashian — the new three-part series documenting the clan’s rise to prominence — Caitlyn promised that she signed on to defend the famous family.
“I wanted to protect my family. I’m a parent, I love my children,” she said. “You know the Kardashian side and a little bit of the Jenner side, but I think a lot of times in the media you get totally misrepresented, so I wanted to do it just to say first of all how much I love my kids, and second of all how proud I am of them and what they’ve been able to accomplish. It is an amazing story.”
