Caitlyn Jenner Claims She Chose To Appear In Controversial ‘House Of Kardashian’ Docuseries Because “It’s Very Disappointing To See How They’re Represented”

Caitlyn Jenner has finally explained why she chose to participate in the upcoming House of Kardashian documentary series, which promises to shed new ilght on the family’s rise to fame. Jenner is the only member of the Kardashian-Jenner family who agreed to appear on the series, per Deadline.

“It’s very difficult when you’re in public life and in the media, especially the Kardashians… Sometimes it’s just very disappointing to see how they’re represented,” she told The Times of London.

“When they approached me about doing this show, once I thought about it, I thought, ‘You know what? I want to get involved. I want to do my best to be very positive and really represent the family and the kids in a positive way,'” she added.

Jenner added that she hasn’t discussed the series with her family.

“I really haven’t talked with them about it. I’m kind of doing this on my own,” she said to The Times. “I’ve been in the media for a long time. I know how the game is played.”

Her comments come after she revealed that she hasn’t spoken much to some of her family members at all, including ex-wife Kris Jenner. While appearing on the U.K. talk show This Morning last week, Caitlyn said, “Kris [and] I really never talk to anymore.”

She continued, “If there’s any communication, my manager kind of talks to her and when you have as many kids as I have, you’re closer to some than you are to others.”

Caitlyn maintained that she is still “much closer to the Jenner side” of the family. “But Kris, I don’t really have any more contact with her. It’s kind of sad because we went through a lot,” she told This Morning.

The former Olympic athlete has since apologized for speaking out about her private family dynamic. TMZ reported on Thursday (Oct. 5) that she is “extremely remorseful and is willing to do whatever it takes to mend the family divide.”

According to the outlet, the family is reportedly “siding with Kris over Caitlyn … including Caitlyn’s daughters Kendall and Kylie” even though she was telling “the truth about how things are with Kris.”

The Kardashians are also reportedly “not on board” with her participating in the documentary series.

House of Kardashian premiered Sunday (Oct. 8) on Sky Documentaries and Now. The three-part documentary details how the Kardashian-Jenners used social media, their hit reality show, and their infamy to create their own dynasty. It includes interviews with sources who have been close to the family for years.
