Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos often bring fun family matters onto Live with Kelly and Mark, and that was certainly the case this morning when they told viewers that they “had all the chickens home last night for dinner.”

“All the kids were home,” Consuelos continued. “And then our fourth child Andy Cohen came over! It’s always great having him over.”

While Ripa deemed Cohen their “eldest child,” she noted that his visit to their home messed with her concept of time.

“Our show is getting ready to go on our winter hiatus,” she explained, adding that they “get a few days off.”

“I thought it started yesterday,” she admitted.

Consuelos asked “at what point did [she] realize” that she would be returning to the Live soundstage the next day, to which Ripa replied, “Around 11:30 at night.”

She clarified that Cohen coming to dinner “signaled to [her] that [they] were somehow on vacation.”

“I don’t know how I got that twisted in my brain,” she said. “So imagine my surprise when here we all are today!”

After Consuelos quipped, “Oh, so this is a freebie,” Ripa joked, “It’s like I’m not even here!”

Consuelos returned to the subject of Cohen, gushing that it’s “really nice” to have the Bravo host over.

“He’s so great, he asks questions to each and every one of [the kids],” he shared. “And then he grills them, but in a nice way.”

Ripa likened his visit to “a Real Housewives reunion.” Consuelos agreed, saying,”He does a reunion show at our dinner table!”

Ripa then claimed that their daughter Lola embodies both “Melissa [Gorga] and Teresa [Giudice].”

“I don’t know if you watch Real Housewives of New Jersey, but Lola is both of those people at the same time,” she joked. “And it’s really fascinating. Their dynamic is very funny.”

Consuelos ended their anecdote on an emotional note, acknowledging how moments where their family is all together under one roof “are fleeting.”
