Ferrari is now available to rent and buy on digital platforms as of Tuesday. Unfortunately, this timing rubs salt in the wound of Penélope Cruz’s Oscar snub, which came on the same day.

But even though you won’t see Cruz at the Oscars in March, you can still see her on your screen at home. Directed by Michael Mann, with a screenplay by Troy Kennedy Martin, this sports biopic stars Adam Driver, doing his second Italian accent in three years, this time as the luxury Italian car designer Enzo Ferrari. The movie details Ferrari’s first-hand involvement with his racing team for the 1957 Mille Miglia, but also showcases his troubled home life. His estranged wife, Laura (Cruz) is grieving their late son, who died one year earlier. Meanwhile, Ferrari is also trying to placate his mistress, Lena (Shailene Woodley), who wants her son with Ferrari to inherit his famed last name. Mamma mia, what a conundrum!

Ferrari was released in theaters on Christmas Day by Neon and comes to “premium” digital platforms after less than one month in theaters. “Premium” video-on-demand is the new industry term for digital releases that come shortly after the theatrical premiere, and cost extra money. That’s pretty typical for most major studio films these days—especially ones that thought they would be picking up a Best Supporting Actress nomination today. Here’s what to know about how to watch Ferrari online, and when to expect to see Ferrari on streaming.

Ferrari digital release date:

Ferrari was released on premium video-on-demand, to buy and to rent, on Tuesday, January 23. As of today, you can buy and rent Ferrari digitally on Amazon PrimeApple TVVudu, and more. The price may vary depending on which platform you use to purchase the film, but on Amazon Prime the movie will cost $24.99 to buy, and $19.99 to rent.

Ferrari will also be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on March 12, and will include behind-the-scenes extras, including “The Mille Miglia” and “Building Perfection” which explores the historic race and cars behind Ferrari, as well as in-depth interviews with the award-winning cast and crew.

How to rent Ferrari (2023) online:

Ferrari will be available to rent on digital platforms like  Amazon PrimeApple TVVudu, and more, beginning on January 23. The movie will cost $19.99 to rent, and you’ll have 48 hours to watch the movie after hitting “play.”

Where to watch Ferrari (2023) on streaming:

Ferrari is not yet available for free on any of the subscription streaming services, and it’s not clear where the movie will land. Neon, the production company behind Ferrari, penned a multiyear deal with Hulu back in 2017, but Hulu is supposed to merge with Disney+ any day now. Does this mean you’ll see Ferrari on Disney+ before the end of 2024? It’s not yet clear.

When will Ferrari be on Hulu?

Perhaps if the merger is delayed, you’ll see Ferrari on Hulu later this year, likely sometime after its March 12 DVD release. Other 2023 Neon releases, such as It Lives Inside, began streaming on Hulu in late December, about three months after it opened in theaters. If Ferrari follows a similar release pattern, you may see it on Hulu around late March 2024.

This is all speculation, however. If you want to watch Ferrari at home right away, you can buy or rent the film online today.
