Drew Barrymore might be a “Real Housewives virgin,” but she and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards go way back to their child acting days.

On this morning’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the beloved talk show host welcomed Richards, Melissa Gorga (Real Housewives of New Jersey), Dorinda Medley (Real Housewives of New York City), Gizelle Bryant (Real Housewives of Potomac) and Ashley Darby (Real Housewives of Potomac) to the studio for one big Housewives-themed episode.

“I have a confession to make: I’m a Real Housewives virgin,” Barrymore admitted at the top of the episode. “I’ve never seen an episode. I don’t know anything about anyone. I wanted to remain green and unseen for the sake of this show.”

The star explained that she invited the Bravolebrities to her daytime talk show so they could “teach us about all their phenomenon in pop culture and who they are and why they matter so much to so many people.”

But before they got into the nitty-gritty of the interview, Barrymore and Richards took a trip down memory lane.

“Kyle and I actually have history because we were both child actors. We have grown up in and around each other,” Barrymore said, to which Richards confirmed, “We have. I remember our moms used to take us out to dinners with them all the time.”

Both women were “kids” at the time — and according to Richards, it was “back in the days where there wasn’t paparazzi like there is now.”

Barrymore agreed, gushing over the “good times” and “great days” before paparazzi kicked into full gear.

“Simpler,” Richards added, before Barrymore echoed, “They were simpler times, actually.”

It’s no surprise the two Los Angeles natives grew up in the same circle. Richards first rose to fame as a child actress in Little House on the Prairie, in which she starred from 1975 to 1982. She also appeared in the 1978 slasher flick Halloween opposite Jamie Lee Curtis.

Meanwhile, Barrymore made her feature film debut in Steven Spielberg‘s E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial in 1982 and, well, the rest is history.
