Some people watch the Academy Awards for the celebration of cinema, while others tune in for the buzzy moments and must-see fashion. If you find yourself in the second category, you’ll be hitting the couch early to watch the red carpet coverage on ABC and E! Network.
Just a quick programming note before we get to the red carpet information: The 2024 Academy Awards begin a little earlier this year, with all the fun starting at 7:00 p.m. ET. The show will be followed by an all-new episode of ABC’s popular sitcom Abbott Elementary.

What Time Does The Oscars 2024 Red Carpet Coverage Start?
ABC’s coverage of the red carpet begins at 1:00 p.m. ET, while the fun begins on E! Network at 2:00 p.m. Vanessa Hudgens and Julianne Hough will host The Oscars Red Carpet Show beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET on ABC. More info below!

On The Red Carpet Live! Countdown to the Oscars airs from 1:00-4:00 p.m. ET on ABC, ABC.com, and the On The Red Carpet website. Preshow coverage will also air on ABC News Live (which is available to stream live on Hulu) beginning at 12:00 p.m. ET.

Finally, E! Network’s Academy Awards coverage will start at 2:00 p.m. ET with E!’s Brunch at the Osars, followed by E! Live from the Red Carpet at 4:00 p.m. ET.
